Celebrities have twittered their congratulations to Kevin Jonas on his recent engagement.

Kevin, 21, announced his engagement to girlfriend Danielle Deleasa on July 1 by posting a message on the band’s website.

His parents posted a message saying: “Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle Deleasa for her hand in marriage.”

His brother Nick’s rumoured girlfriend Miley Cyrus posted a message saying: “congrats kevin! :)”

However, Nia Vardalos joked about her dismay at the engagement and said: “Kevin Jonas is engaged. I am one p***ed off cougar.”

Michael Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe insists she has not reached a final decision over custody of their children – despite declaring “I want my kids”.

Rowe’s lawyer Eric George insisted on Thursday she is still considering her options – but did not challenge the accuracy of a report quoting her as saying: “I’m going after my children.”

It came as it was confirmed a custody hearing set for next Monday has been postponed until July 13 at the request of the Rowe camp.

Rowe – who insists she is the biological mother of Jackson’s two eldest children – broke her silence since the Thriller singer’s sudden death in a late-night phone call with a local news reporter.

She was quoted as telling the reporter: “They are my flesh and blood. I’m going after my children.”

But George said on Thursday: “I’m representing to you now, unequivocally, Debbie has not reached a final decision concerning the pending custody proceedings.”

The lawyer said although he had no doubt that his client’s conversation with the reporter was accurately and ethically reported, “the truth is that Debbie has not reached a final decision concerning the pending custody proceedings”.

Rowe reportedly told LA news channel KNBCLA she and Jackson “had an agreement” but the music icon “didn’t keep his end”. She also reportedly said she would be open to raising Jackson’s youngest child, seven-year-old Blanket.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson is hoping university life gives her a break from the public eye.

The 19-year-old actress, who is famous for her role as Hermione Granger in the hit film series, is planning to enrol at university later this year once filming ends on the Harry Potter films.

She said: “I’m so excited. Living in London, it’s hard to be anonymous. But hopefully, on some campus somewhere, I’ll fade into the background a bit.”

Emma admitted there is an appeal to studying in America as she would have more privacy.

She said: “I’m very aware that with Cambridge, people would find that interesting.

“Cambridge is so high profile in itself and then, on top of that, people don’t really go out in Cambridge because it’s so small, so I’ll be going out in London and then that’s just the same thing. I definitely am attracted to the States for that reason.”

Talking about filming the final Potter film, Emma admitted a big chapter is coming to an end.

She said: “It’s going to sound dramatic, but I feel like it’s going to be my life over as I know it. My whole life has been about Harry Potter and then all of that will shut down and I don’t know what it will be like.

“I go to university in September - I’ll be doing bits and bobs at Christmas, but September feels like my cut-off point, the moment when I’ll really stop.”

Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine will remain the temporary administrator of his estate until next week, a judge has ruled.

Katherine’s lawyers got an order giving her temporary control of the estate earlier this week, based on her belief that Jackson left no will.

But they had to return to court in Los Angeles on Wednesday, after the singer’s will was filed.

The named executors of the will – lawyer John Branca and music executive John McClain – have said they want to make sure they have control over the assets and asked a judge to nullify Katherine’s power to move the late superstar’s assets around, even on a temporary basis.

But the judge has decided not to make any change to the original order before a hearing on Monday.

There is not believed to be any conflict between Katherine and the new executors.

Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine, has just filed a guardianship petition for the late singer’s children. She is asking the court to appoint her as the guardian of all three kids. The petition also states that the kids have no relationship with their biological mother and that the kids are in the care of Katherine and that they have a long established relationship. She thinks that it would be best for her to be appointed guardian as “Minor children are currently residing with paternal grandmother. They have a long-established relationship with paternal grandmother and are comfortable in her care.” The petition also says that it is not known at the time whether Debbie Rowe, the mother of the older 2 children, agrees to having Katherine as the legal guardian. A hearing is set for August 3 to hear the petition but Katherine has been granted temporary guardianship.

When EMTs arrived at Michael Jackson’s home on Thursday afternoon, the medics wanted to pronounce him dead on the scene but the singer’s personal doctor refused to let them call it. Sources say that when EMTs arrived, there was evidence that someone had been performing CPR on the late King of Pop for quite some time. Medics took over performing CPR but determined that Michael was lifeless and wanted to call the coroner to pick up the body. Michael was said to be flat-lined when EMTs arrived. However, sources say that Michael’s doctor demanded EMTs to continue to perform CPR and that the singer be taken to the hospital. Once they arrived at UCLA, Michael’s doctor continued to administer CPR even though it was clear that he was already gone.

Michael Jackson’s eldest son Prince was reportedly “stunned” as he watched doctors battle to save his father’s life.

The 12-year-old lad was reportedly stood nearby when the family’s personal doctor frantically tried to save the star, according to the family’s biographer Stacy Brown.

He said: “The horror of it all is Prince thought his dad was just being his dad and clowning, but it was real and he watched as they worked on him. Prince was stunned – in a trance – just watching.

“There was no movement, just looking around and not really processing what was really happening.”

A family insider added: “The three children had been taken to another room by their nannies but they thought their dad was just fooling around.

“He often played dead and would then jump up and surprise them, so they thought he was just having a bit of fun. But when they saw the emergency trucks arrive, that really shook them.

“The kids were terrified and started crying and howling for their dad.”

It is claimed the children were with their grandmother Katherine, 79, in a hospital waiting room when they were later told he had died.

Michael’s manager Frank DiLeo said it was the “single most painful moment” of his life telling the children he had died.

Reports claim the Jackson family are keen for the children to stay with Michael’s mother Katherine, 79, however the eldest two children’s mother Debbie Rowe could file for custody.

Mischa Barton, 23, the essence of the all American girl in The OC, is actually British, she told the UK newspaper The Daily Mail. She was born in Hammersmith and raised in New York.

Speaking in Soho recently, she said: “I’m British, though everyone thinks I’m American. I haven’t lived here since I was tiny, but my entire family is British and I’ve been raised as a Brit. My sister lives and works in London as a barrister, but nobody can get their head round the fact I’m anything but a Hollywood girl. In the US, nobody thinks of me as American, and here, nobody believes I’m British.”

Barton said she was embarrassed to admit it, but she consciously tried to lose her English accent. “When I lived in New York, I tried really hard to ditch the British accent to fit in. I went to classes and everything. I ended up putting on this terrible ‘Nu Yawk’ accent and hid behind that for a while. Now I don’t try to hide it so much, but my accent slips all over the place. It’s a mess – I don’t sound like I’m from anywhere any more.”

She also revealed that she was once physically attacked by a fan in Milan. “This guy just jumped on me. It totally freaked me out. I don’t think he meant it badly, but it was still scary. Men come up to me a lot, but it’s never to chat me up. I don’t know if they’re intimidated by me or what. It’s like they’re not doing it to hit on me. They just want a picture with me on their camera phone because they’ve seen me in a movie. It’s wild because they think they know you – guys talk to me like I’ve known them for years, when we’ve only just met.”

Barton says she is not part of the Paris Hilton set. “People think I’m part of that whole Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan set and it’s frustrating. I’m not like that; I have a pretty normal life. People always seem to write lots of untrue things about me. I’ve just learned to laugh at it and move on. I also surround myself with people who are nothing like the Hollywood set – my family are really intelligent and academic, so they keep me grounded no matter what.”

She also said she has posed partly nude and has been arrested for drunk driving.

“I took my top off for Cosmopolitan. I’d never do a fully nude shoot, though. I was shot from my chest up and everyone speaks about it like I was naked. I really wasn’t. I’d never do a naked shoot – that’s just not me,” she said.

Leaving the OC was difficult: “When I left The OC there were a lot of mixed emotions. It was an extreme four years of my life, so it was kind of bittersweet.

British royal Prince Harry reportedly enjoyed a meal with Aussie singer Natalie Imbruglia following a night at a rock concert.

Harry, 24, was spotted having a burger in the VIP area at the Hard Rock Calling event in Hyde Park, London.

It is claimed the pair struck up a good friendship when Harry split with his girlfriend Chelsy Davy earlier this year.

An onlooker said: “Harry looked absolutely delighted to see Natalie when she arrived. They embraced warmly and shared a quick kiss. They were dancing and joking together for the entire duration of The Killers’ set.

“At dinner, afterwards, they carried on chatting and laughing like old friends. Tom Jones joined them during their meal. They were having a whale of a time, drinking beer and wine before a round of shots.”

Could Fall Out Boy be splitting up? The band’s most famous member, Pete Wentz, took to the internet last week to chat with some of the band’s fans. Also, on a Twitter account which he created just for the day and later deleted, he released some interesting information. When someone asked whether they could expect a new FOB CD next year, Pete replied with “I’m not sure. This may be the swan song. But we might have another in us. We’ll see.” In an interview later that week, Pete tried to elaborate saying “No, we’re not calling it quits, but [we've got] no future album plans right now.”

Model Heidi Klum has given her permission for her likeness to be used as part of Barbie’s Blonde Ambition Collection.

Heidi, 36, who was born in Germany, is currently pregnant with her fourth child and she allowed Mattel to use her look as inspiration for a doll for the launch of the new collection.

Barbie is 50 years old this year as the first fashion doll was launched in 1959.

The Barbie’s Blonde Ambition Collection range will be released later this year.

The original Barbie was created by American businesswoman Ruth Handler, who reportedly used a German doll Bild Lilli as inspiration.

Michael Jackson’s tour promoters have issued a tribute to the star following his sudden death.

Randy Phillips from AEG Live, which was organising his London tour dates, expressed his sadness at the star’s death.

Michael died suddenly in LA aged 50 after suffering a reported heart attack.

Randy said, in a statement: “Yesterday was a day I will never forget, or want to remember. Michael was both weak and strong, clever and kind, talented beyond belief and equally insecure.

“He was a doting father, respectful son, loving brother, and caring uncle. He was my friend. I take great solace in the pride and confidence he exhibited during production rehearsals on Wednesday night.

“That is the memory I will cherish for the rest of my life.”

Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford has denied rumours of rivalry between him and Zac Efron.

Crawford, 23, is set to feature in a remake of 1984 muscial Footloose after the High School Musical star turned down the lead role.

He said: “We’re loose acquaintances, we’re good friends and everything’s cool. He’s got to make the decisions that are best for him.”

Crawford told GMTV the movie is going to be a little different to the original, which starred Kevin Bacon.

He said: “It’s a great modern adaptation. Pop culture has changed so much since the 80s. I’m not going to have the Kevin Bacon hair and tight jeans!”

JoAnna Garcia, the star of Privileged, will take up another tricky role as a recurring character in Gossip Girl.

Garcia will play Bree Buckley, an evil character who fits the Miss America stereotype and comes from a conservative Southern family - but is progressive.

The 29-year-old was raised in Florida and appeared in TV shows including Are You Afraid of the Dark and Reba. She was also in the films American Pie 2 and Not Another Teen Movie.

In Privileged, she played Megan Smith, a Yale graduate-turned-private tutor for spoilt teen heiresses.

Angelina Jolie’s estranged father thinks that Megan Fox is a worthy rival for his daughter’s signature Lara Croft role, it was reported.

Actor Jon Voight weighed in on the rumoured rivalry of the two actors for the part, saying, “They’re both very beautiful and they’re both kind of sexy girls.”

Speculation that Fox might replace Jolie for the new slated Tomb Raider movie began weeks ago after producer Dan Lin told a video interview: “It is an origin story so it is a younger Lara Croft. It will have character-driven action.”

Fox is 23, and Jolie is 34. Voight also had a tip for Fox and a compliment for his daughter. “Maybe Megan will start doing the things that Angie is so well known for. Angie is known for helping with kids and for her concern for others. I think that would be wonderful for all of the kids if Megan were to do the same.”

Jolie’s last Lara Croft appearance was in the 2003 Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson said she may give up acting after finishing the hit film series.

Emma, 19, plays the role of teenage witch Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series and said she may not return to acting when she finished shooting the flicks.

She said: “Until something comes along that I feel as strongly as I did Hermione - like, I felt that it was life or death - I don’t want to act again.”

Emma is currently promoting the next film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, as well as shooting the final two flicks.

She said: “I don’t think I’ve ever been this tired in my life. I literally wear my pyjama bottoms to set. I roll out of bed and put on a hoodie and some Ugg boots.”

Emma also confirmed rumours she is dating financier Jay Barrymore, 25, and dismissed rumours they have repeatedly split.

She said: “The only reason it’s ‘on/off’ is because the papers make up so much rubbish.”

Emma has made no secret of her plans to attend university once shooting has wrapped on the films but she is keeping quiet about which university she is attending.

She said: “I just want to keep it private for as long as I can. I probably sound like a paranoid nut, but I’m doing this because I want to be normal. I really want anonymity.”

The singer’s children are apparently very hard to take away from their father… or at least so the singer believes. Peter Andre said the following about his children: “All three of the kids are really clinging to me at the moment and I can’t even go to the toilet without them all trying to come with me! Princess has become a total daddy’s girl and seems to be obsessed with me.” Well, it is understandable considering how much of a mommy Katie Price has been to them lately. But clinging to Peter Andre like that doesn’t really seem like the best thing… especially considering that they will eventually have to spend some time with their mother as well.

Twilight star Peter Facinelli has won his Twitter bet with a pal and managed to get 500,000 followers by the deadline.

Peter, 35, was bet by his pal Rob ‘Rob.D’ DeFranco that if he couldn’t get 500,000 followers by a set date, he would have to give him his Twilight movie-set director’s chair.

However, Facinelli won the bet and can keep the chair, but DeFranco now has to dance down Hollywood Boulevard wearing a bikini while singing Beyonce’s track Single Ladies and holding a sign saying: ‘Twitter Me.’

But Facinelli admitted it was a close call after his page received the 500,000 followers but it then dipped.

He said: “What I had heard was that Twitter was treating the followers like spam because so many were coming in, so they were getting tossed off.”

He added: “So at the end of the day, I’ll never know if my follower count is right, but I do know that we had over 500,000, which was the magic number for Rob doing the bikini dance.”

Lost hero Matthew Fox was spanked during an initiation ceremony at university, he has been forced to reveal.

The 42-year-old made the embarrassing admission after endless probing during a television interview.

At first Fox, also known as Charlie from Party of Five, denied any funny business during an “insane” university initiation.

He said: “There was no spanking. Trust me, if I was spanked I would admit it. There were other very bizarre things but no spanking.

“It’s pretty good damn embarrassing but I’m not going to tell you. I’ve sub-consciously blocked it all out.

“All right, I was spanked, I was spanked. Jesus Christ,” he said.

Fox, best known as Jack Shepherd in drama series Lost, will begin filming the final series in August. “It’s going to be tough to say goodbye to it.

“I’m going to be sad to say goodbye to the entire experience and some of the relationships that I’ve made working on the show but there’s also another part of me that’s incredibly excited about the next chapter and where we’re headed.”

The new Sugababes singer is apparently doing her best to gain as much weight as possible. Amelle Berrabah had the following progress to report: “I’ve put on 6lbs since being in Los Angeles last month, recording our seventh album. I’m a size 8 now, but I’m determined to put on more weight.” Well, this is definitely new… and it will be a real treat to see if Amelle Berrabah doesn’t overdo this. Green Day has just premiered the video for their new single, “21 Guns,” exclusively on MySpace Music. The video was helmed by noted director Marc Webb, who has lensed clips for such artists as My Chemical Romance, Weezer, and All-American Rejects, and is making his feature film directorial debut in July with (500) Days of Summer.

“21 Guns” is the second single from the band’s latest album 21st Century Breakdown, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, as well as on the Rock, Active Rock, and Alternative charts, fueled by the Alternative radio No. 1 single “Know Your Enemy.” 21st Century Breakdown, which Rolling Stone has called “a rock opera in which the rock always comes first,” also topped the charts in 24 countries including the UK, Canada, and Japan.

Over the past month, Green Day has continued to work with MySpace Music for the promotion of 21st Century Breakdown. During the week of the album’s release, they played an exclusive concert in New York City which was filmed for the site’s premiere online concert program, The List. Black Eyed Peas ‘The E.N.D.’ Lands At #1 On The Billboard 200 Chart

Black Eyed Peas’ “The E.N.D.” bows at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 304,000 — the hip-pop act’s best sales week ever.
