Nick Carter Says Backstreet Boys Were Never A ‘Boy Band’
Sunday, October 28th, 2007 Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter insists the group was never a “boy band” – and instead were a ‘vocal harmony group.’ The band shot to fame in the 1990s with their self-titled first album and have sold over 75 million records worldwide – but Carter is admant they didn’t take their musical cues from groups like British five piece Take That. This guy must be on drugs. Even Wiki recognizes that “A boy band is a type of pop group featuring three or more young male singers. The members are generally expected to perform as dancers as well, often executing highly choreographed sequences to their own music.” Yes, they’re a BOY BAND, DUH… It seems that after more a decade and a half gone by this dude is still trying to figure out what the bad stands for and what their identity is. He really needs to have himself diagnosed and it think he is a simple case of a person having an identity crisis.
