Ashlee Simpson-Wentz was set to premiere a new collection of tops designed by her to be sold exclusively at Wet Seal. The launch date was April 22 and after just a bit over a month later, her so-called designs are doing so poorly that they’re practically giving it away for free. The line started out with a dozen different shirts originally marked at $19.50. Now, they’re being sold on Wet Seal’s website for just $4.99. Poor Ashlee, her shirts cost less than a latte. Much like her music and acting career, her clothing line may not have gone so well but at least she still has her new husband and baby on the way to fall back on. Let’s just hope that she doesn’t decide to make baby clothes now.

Christina Aguilera, in cooperation with P&G Prestige Products, is set to debut a new fragrance called ‘Inspire’ on September 1. The 27-year old powerhouse singer has set aside her music career to focus more on being a new mother and on her other ventures. According to WWD, “Inspire is a fragrance for women, which opens with fruity notes of mango, citrus and freesia, with accentuated tuberose, accompanied by white rose and gardenia in the heart. Accords of orange blossom from Valencia, sandalwood and musk are added on top of the white bouquet… Aguilera announces that the most highlighted note is seductive tuberose, with freesia and musk, and it seems to her that these notes remind of tones in perfumes for men.”

The British media is reporting that Amy Winehosue is heading over to Israel for some more rehab treatment. Apparently, Wino’s heading to the holy land as they offer some new approaches to treating drug addiction that her family and advisors hope will be more fruitful. The Israeli doctor who will reportedly be treating Wino explains that his method is proven to be more effective as drug addiction is approached as a neurological problem rather than a social and psychological problem. For Wino’s sake, I really hope it works. But since it is Wino that we’re talking about, I’m not holding my breath for any miracles.

The 21-year old Jesse and the 24-year old Aubrey were also spotted in each other’s arms at club Butter in New York City on Monday night. It looks like we’ve got a new celebrity couple on our hands. And can let me just say, I thought Jesse was finally doing something right when he came out with his new single but then he comes out with Aubrey and everything just goes to waste. Rising country superstar Taylor Swift attended the 2008 Academy of Country Music Awards which was held at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas on Sunday. At the ceremony, the 18-year old sang ‘Should Have Said No’ as she got drenched in water and brought the house down. She said of the song “I wrote this song by myself, and it literally took me just 20 minutes to write before we recorded it. I was living every line in this song at the time. I wrote this song about a guy who cheated on me who shouldn’t have.” Taylor won the award for Top New Female Vocalist and dedicated her ACM trophy to her mother.

Donnie Wahlberg may prove that he’s the busiest kid out of the New Kids on the Block. He’s going out with his old band for a reunion tour for a job. But once that’s over, he’ll be acting in and producing a TNT crime drama called ‘Morse Code’. The show is about a young war hero who returns to his hometown of Boston where he works as a Drug Enforcement Administration officer. Who would have thought that any kid on the block had job offers before talks of the reunion tour came out? At least he’s keeping the paychecks coming in.

Amy Winehouse is to receive $2 million to perform in an old Russian bus garage. The ‘Rehab’ singer is being offered the huge sum for the private show in June.

Daria ‘Dasha’ Zhukova – girlfriend of Chelsea Football Club owner, billionaire Roman Abramovich – is heading a project to turn the 1920s building in Moscow into a contemporary art gallery and has lined up Amy for a launch night performance.

The gallery – to be called the Center for Contemporary Culture – is not due to open until September but Daria says they are planning a one-off event in the summer. She claims they have booked Amy for the night, however Daria will not disclose how much the singer is being paid to appear.

Amy is not the first music star to boost their earnings by playing a private concert.

George Michael received $2.5 million for a 75-minute show at Russian billionaire Vladimir Potanin’s New Year’s Eve party in 2006, while the Rolling Stones were paid a total of $9 million for playing at the 60th birthday bash of billionaire David Bonderman.

I am hoping that Nick Cannon has a very good accountant as the barely working actor is spending money as if it grows on trees. Mariah Carey’s new husband rented out Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California on Tuesday night for a lavish party to celebrate his nuptials to the diva. He had the park close down in the evening just for the party which must have cost a lot of money. Friends and family who weren’t able to make it to the island wedding were invited to celebrate with the couple. The park was decorated with pink and purple balloon, Mariah’s signature colors. But compared to the party venues she’s used to, I’m pretty sure this is a downgrade.

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson will be getting married soon… sooner than everyone might have expected. The couple is said to be getting married this Saturday at a supposed secret location. The rehearsal dinner for family and close friends will reportedly take place on Friday at another secret location. A source says that “Proper invites have not been sent out but instead guests have been given a save the date notice” and that “all guests will be transported in shuttles to the wedding location.” I’m willing to bet that Ashlee’s manager and father Joe Simpson will pimp out the wedding pictures. Heck, he might even pimp out the actual wedding!

Duffy has admitted she is a ‘cheap date’.

The ‘Mercy’ singer confessed it doesn’t take much to get her drunk when she is out with a guy. She said: ‘I get p****d on two glasses of wine. I’m not going to lie. I’m a cheap date.’

The 23-year-old Welsh star – who performed at Radio 1’s Big Weekend music festival in Maidstone, Kent, on Saturday - also revealed she is finally getting used to the fame game.

She explained: ‘At the beginning I was really careful – you know, early to bed – but now I’m used to it I push the boat out when I can. I can get away with four hours sleep but any less than that and it’s bad. It’s day and game over.’

Duffy, who performed a cover of Madonna’s ‘Borderline’ during her set on the main stage, admitted she was terrified about performing a Madonna song during her set.

She added: ‘I put a bit of thought into it. I think if Madonna heard it she would say, ‘Oi, behave, Welsh singer bird.’ ‘

Demi Moore’s hubby, 30, said: “I pee with the dogs. They’re marking their territory and I’m marking mine.”

Ashton, currently starring with Cameron Diaz in the rom-com movie What Happens In Vegas, claimed he did it to keep his masculinity.

He explained: “Demi’s not happy about it but I’ve 13 women in my house sometimes — my wife, housekeepers, cook, nanny, my assistant and three daughters. Everyone in my life is a woman — so I have to mark my territory.”

It looks like Foxy Brown won’t be heading back into prison any time soon as the bench warrant issued for her arrest on Monday has been recalled. According to her lawyer Laura Dilimetin, it was all a big misunderstanding. Apparently, her lawyer had filed for the case to be delayed until May 8 but for some reason, the court officials didn’t change the date in the calendar. When the court realized the mistake, the bench warrant was withdrawn. Her lawyer has assured that the rapper will be present in Florida where she faces charges on another incident. It’s hard to keep up with her!

Taylor Swift is on the June 2008 cover of Seventeen magazine which hit newsstands on May 6. in the accompanying interview, the 18-year old singer and songwriter told the mag about dealing with bad friendships, being cheated on and where she gets inspiration for her songs. She says that she uses her painful real-life experiences into good songwriting as some sort of therapy. She talked about girls from her hometown that used to not like to hang out with her but then waited in line for hours to say hi to her at a sold-out show. Look who’s the big girl in town now!

Miley Cyrus may have been pulled out from appearing at the Disney Channel Games 2008 on Friday due to supposedly being grounded by her network but that doesn’t mean she can’t go out period. Sources have spotted the Vanity Fair scandal maker out and about in Orlando this past weekend. The 15-year old was trying to be incognito by going in disguise, wearing a wig, sunglasses and the whole shebang. I think she’s been hanging around the set of ‘Hannah Montana’ for too long now. How could she not be recognized in her so-called disguise when that’s all she’s in when she’s on the show? And considering she’s a hot topic right now, she can only wish to not be seen.

Zach Braff recently posted a blog about a new season of ‘Scrubs’, an interesting episode dedicated to ‘The Princess Bride’ but the thing that caught my attention the most was the part where he talked about being part of a music video. He’s directing a music video and he wants people from all over the world to help him. He said “I came up with this idea to make a music video by cutting together clips of people from all over the world singing the song and shooting the video themselves as though it were their own song.” It’s kind of like Nickelback’s video for ‘Rockstar’ but without the celebrities.

The UK media is reporting that Alex Haynes isn’t the only guy who Amy Winehouse has been messing around with while her husband is in jail. Wino allegedly also got freaky with Pete Doherty’s Babyshambles band member, Mik Whitnall. A source reveals that “He says they’ve slept together a couple of times. He told a few people after that stuff about her and Alex Haynes came out. It’s always supposed to have happened when they’ve been on a bender. Telling people about her birthmark is his way of proving it happened. It’s male bravado.” However, another source reveals that Wino is more into Alex than Mik and that she’s actually just faking her dedication to hubby Blake because “She’s terrified he’ll do something stupid.”

Avril Lavigne has reportedly postponed her concert in San Diego as she’s supposedly suffering from throat problems. I think that’s just a cover up for poor ticket sales but whatever. But a source says that it’s actually excessive partying that is to blame. The source says that at a private performance before the big show in Vegas, Boy Like Girls’ (Avril’s opening act) told the crowd that he and Avril went shot after shot all night long in her suite at the Palms. Avril even claimed that she was so hung over from drinking so much the night before. Gee, that’s responsible, promoting drinking to tweens in the audience. Oh by the way, the concert is now officially cancelled. I guess the promoters didn’t think that it was worth it to reschedule.
