Hayden Panettiere’s father is now facing misdemeanor battery chargers after getting in a drunken fight with his wife in August.

The Associated Press reports:
Alan Panettiere faces up to a year in a Los Angeles County jail if convicted. He was arrested on Aug. 11 on suspicion of striking his wife, Lesley.
At the time, a sheriff’s spokesman said Panettiere was accused of hitting his wife three times with an open hand.

People reports that LAMB founder Gwen Stefani will be launching an exclusive line of uniforms for W Hotels bar staff. Jenni Benzaquen, the director of public relations for W Hotels said “Gwen Stefani was in our lounge last season, and through that relationship she’s doing uniforms for the [Rande] Gerber bars located in W Hotels.” Gwen Stefani said “I wanted to design a super cute dress that I would be excited to have in my own closet and approached it in the same way I think about my clothing for a tour. We’ve designed a sexy and comfortable outfit for these women to wear out on their own stage every night.”
The Jonas Brothers team up with Demi Lovato once again to shoot some stills for an album cover while in London recently. The photo op was done after the band of brothers paid a visit to Radio 1 to talk about the jokes that 2008 MTV Video Music Awards host Russell Brand made about them. For the record, the brothers responded with a lot of grace and did not have anything negative to say about the comedian despite his not so savvy jokes. After their visit to Radio 1, the brothers had a bit of fun mixed with work as they met up with Demi for their photo shoot. The shoot took place around Soho and the World Famous ‘Eros’ Statue.

Another actress thinks she can make it as a singer as ‘Gossip Girl’ star Leighton Meester will be recording her first album soon. The actress told Access Hollywood about doing music that “I am yeah. Technically, yeah I am. I mean, for real this time… I’ve always done [music], just now I am actually doing an album that I plan to release. It’s so cool because it’s a completely different creative process. From beginning to end it’s yours and you make it… You can see the finished product. It’s sometimes hard when you’re acting to be like, ‘Oh I see the finished product right before my eyes.’ So it’s cool you’re there from start to finish when you are writing.” 99% of the time, actresses eff up the whole music thing. Rumer Willis, the daughter of celebrity couple Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, recently hit the buzz with her latest revelation that she fancied Ashton Kutcher before her “Ghost” fame mommy started dating the handsome young man, who was merely 15 years younger to her.
In an interview, the 20-year-old Rumer Willis told thesun.co.uk, “It was strange when mum, who is 15 years older than Ashton, started seeing him in 2003. I was 15 and he was a heartthrob to me – I had pictures of him on my wall!”
She also added, “Ashton’s like a father figure too, in that I respect him and ask his advice.”

The latest clash was between the new judge Cheryl Cole and the seasoned Simon Cowell.
The UK’s number one style icon, Cheryl Cole had accused Mr Simon Cowell of not allowing her to make up her own mind.
The fumes erupted after their conflicting views on the performance during the show.
While Cheryl Cole liked the show, Simon graded as “Sub-Standard”.
He asked Cole, “You don’t want to do this any more, do you?
The “Girls Aloud” singer replied, “I do. But it’s you, Simon – You are doing my head in.”
The smoke was seen again when Cowell loved an act but Cheryl Cole had some reservations on it.
When Simon Cowell tried to convince her, she said, “I don’t have to give her a shot just because you’re telling me I have to”.

Con-man and former beau of Anne Hathaway, Raffaello Follieri pleaded guilty today to charges of wire fraud, money laundering and conspiracy. He’s facing at five years in prison and possible deportation. E! Online reports:
“I did not have investor authorization to use the money that way,” the 30-year-old Follieri stated after pleading guilty to all 14 counts stemming from his June 24 bust. “I knew what I did was wrong.”
Since the arrest, Follieri has been negotiating with prosecutors to reach a deal on a litany of charges. According to the authorities, the former boyfriend and now douchebag lied about Vatican ties in order to buy church properties well below their going rate only to flip them at a fast profit as well as diverting up to $6 million from investors to finance his.
In the end, Follieri, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy, eight counts of wire fraud and five counts of money laundering. He also agreed to pay back $2 Million as part of his plea.
Anne Hathaway, still insists that she had no idea about Raffaello’s shady ways. She claims that she was led to believe that he was working in real estate.

Shannen Doherty, who reprised her role as Brenda will no longer be returning to show. At least for the rest of the season.
According to show insiders, once she’s done filming the first four episodes she signed up to do; Brenda will not appear in any more episodes.
In a recent interview, Shannen Doherty revealed that, “They asked me to do a lot more,” but she added, “I’m in the middle of pitching a show, [so] I couldn’t commit to more than [I did].”

According to insiders, to say that Tobey has confirmed his interest in the sequels is “premature,” nothing is confirmed yet, although it does look like Maguire is headed toward putting on that sexy suit again. A reality TV design star and one trying hard reality TV star turned wannabe designer will be creating gowns for this month’s Emmy Awards.
Lauren Conrad and Project Runway winner Christian Siriano will be showing their stuff on September 21st.
I just wonder if LC can actually produce the clothes herself or if she’ll get some professional help to do it?
Both Siriano and Conrad will be designing gowns for the “trophy girls”.
In an official statement, Christian says, “It has been so inspiring watching the Emmys every year to see who is going to be the most fabulous diva at the show. … It will be such an experience seeing my own creation on stage.”
What makes this more interesting is the not not-so-nice words to say about Conrad and her Hills “designer” friends.
Siriano said, “I mean, it’s fun and flirty and young, but they’re not innovators. None of them will ever be an innovative designer. Buyers and editors are looking for longevity, and hopefully they will see that in me.”
I ACTUALLY BELIEVE HIM! BECAUSE IT’S TRUE! Plus the fact that they’re not really talented at designing clothes the way Siriano is.

The Jonas Brothers recently posted a video on their YouTube account. While there aren’t any photographic proofs that Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift are going out, the video should be enough. It seems that the country sweetheart was feeling a little camera shy when the boys made the video. She may not have made a direct appearance but she was there. If you look closely, around the 5-second mark of the clip, you can see Taylor’s reflection accidentally captured in the mirror of the boys’ dressing room. Talk about an all access pass. Jonas fans’ hearts must have broke after I pointed this out.
Tony Romo might be in for a nightmare. The NFL quarterback is about to renovate his brand new house and it’s being said that the person he left in charge is his girlfriend Jessica Simpson. Tony recently purchased a home in Dallas – a 5,551 square foot, 5-bedroom, 4 full- and 2 half-bath home complete with a game room, pool and spa. He bought it for $699,900. That’s about what he makes in one game. With all the money he saved on the house, Tony can probably afford someone to renovate Jessica’s renovations. What the heck does the blonde know about interior decorating anyway?

It is reported that Elisha Cuthbert has signed a contract to return in the series. She will play the role of Kim, who had been a stubborn child and a source of constant and consistent troubles for his father, Jack Bauer.
