NKOTB Do Good

Monday, October 6th, 2008

The New Kids on the Block may no longer be kids in age but they have proven that they still got it. The men reunited on stage for their first concert in 14 years at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto recently. Band member Danny Wood said that it felt good to be back on stage. By good, he could have also meant awkward. Apparently, a screaming fan threw her bra at fellow band mate Joey McIntyre. Joey was so shocked and confused that he actually threw the bra back. He probably thought that she needed the support. If you think those guys are old, think of their fans.

Jonas Brothers Hit a Homerun

Monday, October 6th, 2008

Nick Jonas recently celebrated his 16th birthday. One of the gifts he received was a cute Golden retriever puppy named Elvis. Another gift he got clearly showed that the Jonas Brothers have a lot of pull in their young hands. Nick also spent the day at a Dodgers game – except they were the ones playing. A source says that the family “rented out the stadium last night to play a baseball game with some friends.” The brothers met up with at least 15 other friends and played from 10PM to a bit past mid night which cost them just over $30,000 for under 3 hours of playing. Talk about rolling large.

Miley Cyrus Catches Sparks

Monday, October 6th, 2008

Miley Cyrus is set to star in a yet untitled new Disney film. The film is being tailor-written for the 15-year old multimedia princess by author Nicholas Sparks, who wrote ‘The Notebook’, ‘Message in a Bottle’ and ‘A Walk to Remember’. Miley must feel special. In an odd twist, Sparks is simultaneously writing the novel for which Miley’s film will be based on while he’s working on the screenplay. Sparks reportedly approached the Cyrus family with it and they were intrigued. But Sparks argues that his first priority is to write a novel that will please his readers and that the screenplay is second to that.
