Shia LaBeouf in Grisham flick

Sunday, December 7th, 2008

Things are going great for Shia LaBeouf’s career if only he would be able to keep his alcohol in check. He is credited for starring in three successful movies which were shown one after the other including Transformers, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as well as Eagle’s Eye. LaBeouf was lucky the prosecutors did not find enough evidence to file a case against him for drunk driving after he figured out in an accident recently which gives him enough time to film his new movie, an adaptation of John Grisham’s new novel “The Associate”.

LaBeouf joins Hollywood A-listers who have starred in the screen adaptations of Grisham’s books including Gene Hackman, Denzel Washington and Tom Cruise. “The Associate” would be released by January next year yet but the book has been getting a lot of buzz lately after LaBeouf was picked to play the part of a law school student who got embroiled in a multi-million case.

Eleven of Grisham’s books have been turned into blockbuster movie hits including The Firm, Runaway Jury and The Pelican Brief.

This will be a reunion for LaBeouf and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura who also produced the Transformers movie. There are also talks that LaBeouf is already filming the sequel to the Transformer movie which also stars Megan Fox, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel, Isabel Lucas John Turturro, and Rainn Wilson.
