Breaking up is the hardest thing to do

Friday, December 12th, 2008

Ginnifer Goodwin just broke up with her boyfriend. *cue in sad music*
The He’s Just Not That Into You and Big Love star has mutually and—as tends to be the publicly touted case—amicably separated from her boyfriend of two years, Chris Klein.
Are we sad? Yes!
One of her friends told People that, “They realized they wanted different things,” and “In the long run, the relationship wasn’t going to work.”
The 30-year-old Goodwin and the 29-year-old Klein first began dating back in 2006, not long after Klein split from his fiancée, Katie Holmes.
As of the moment, neither parties are commenting on the break-up as the actress returns for a third season of Big Love in January, and the Chris Klein is set to appear in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.

Lily Allen, SOBER!

Friday, December 12th, 2008

And yes, that is great news!
Lily Allen is preparing for the release of her second album and in a recent interview with the UK’s Observer, she says she’s off the sauce and drugs for the moment.
Congrats!
According to the interview, she hasn’t had a drink since the end of September.
Is that why she’s been so nice these days?!
Why the sudden change of heart?
Apparently, she was portrayed as a drunk in a comic book and she wasn’t too pleased.
She also says,
“I have no intention of taking drugs again at the moment. But I can’t say ‘Never again,’ because I don’t know where I’ll be in 10 years’ time. And I will definitely drink in the future, just not for awhile.”

Shia LaBeouf loses a job

Friday, December 12th, 2008

Things are not looking good for bad boy Shia LaBeouf. Reports say the he has had to drop out of a new film because of his still injured hand.
Sucks!
Apparently, LaBeouf was going to star in Neal Burger’s flick, Dark Fields, which was going to start shooting this fall.
Originally, the filming was postponed because of his injury after getting into a car accident while drunk this past summer. But, now, Shia has completely withdrawn from the movie.
Too bad!
A source says, “Shia’s hand is totally shattered, it’s much worse than anyone thought.” Shia will most likely need more surgery on the area around his thumb.
Is it really about his hand? C’mon! he filmed transformers right?
Something fishy is going on.

Jessica Simpson Still Lands Cover

Friday, December 12th, 2008

Jessica Simpson can barely fill up a bingo hall with her performances so how does she still end up of the covers of magazines? Jess is on the cover of Marie Claire and in the accompanying interview, gives a lot of laughable answers. The blonde country singing wannabe said “I am the first person to go to Barnes & Noble and buy the new self-help book. I like to fill out the surveys, then I get my friends’ opinions on how I answered to see if I was being honest with myself or not.” She has a lot of free time on her hands, obviously.

Arizona might be Ben Affleck’s next film

Friday, December 12th, 2008

Those who haven’t seen nor heard of Ben Affleck lately would be glad to note that he is set to direct Miramax Films’ “Arizona” which is already in the development stage. The movie is not another epic like Australia but is based on a true story. It focuses on the story of the Arizona Republic investigative reporter Don Bolles who was killed in a car bomb explosion in 1976 while on assignment investigating organized crime and its possible links to the government.

Bolle’s colleagues in the Investigative Reporters and Editors, a group which he co-founded, completed his unfinished work resulting to 40 articles that exposed state corruption. Miramax is eyeing producer Sean Bailey, executive producer Cori Stern and scriptwriter Sheldon Turner to complete the movie’s powerhouse crew.

Arizona would be a good follow up to Affleck’s “Gone Baby Gone” which he directed last year. The fact that Affleck has worked with Bailey in LivePlanet makes the possibility of his directorial involvement in the movie strong. Bailey found Arizona and brought it to Affleck and Turner’s attention.
