If you need further proof that Disney has a death grip on the youth of the world, just look at the ticket sales of the Jonas Brothers movie ‘Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience’. Tickets for the movie account for more than half of all ticket sales on two online ticket selling sites with more than 700 screenings sold out a day before the opening. The spectacle is also much easier on the check book than an actual concert ticket. At the rate this is going, it’s pretty obvious that the band of brothers is going to top Miley Cyrus’ 3D concert.
According to the new issue of In Touch Weekly, the Los Angeles District Attorney has yet to file charges against Chris Brown even though it has been said that Rihanna is cooperating with them. A spokesperson for the DA’s office confirmed the lack of charges saying “We do not have enough evidence and there have been no charges filed on the Chris Brown case.” It doesn’t mean that the singer will be getting off easy though as the spokesperson explained that “if the state gathers up enough evidence, we will press charges with or without her testifying. It is not up to the victim.” Rihanna doesn’t even have to be at the March 5th arraignment. The only time she might face Chris again is if the case goes to trial.
Actress Sienna Miller has tried to play down suggestion that she will over a period of time give up acting completely and focus on creating a successful clothing line label. The star launched her own collection line Twenty8Twelve with sister Savannah, in 2007, and they hit the runway at London Fashion Week on Sunday to present their Fall ‘09 range.
She says, “I’m not giving up acting, I love acting. But I also love working with my sister. We’ve always been two sisters playing dress-up, ever since we were kids, and we’re still doing it.”
Yeah I think she made the right comments, just a little success does not mean she going to find a strong foothold in the cut throat world of designing clothes. You have to produce great stuff that people would love to buy season after season for year together.
And bet you if at all she can do that then it will be hard to stay put with her acting career. I think we will be fine without her and we will not be lost if we lose her to the fashion industry, I’m preparing her a farewell speech already.

The actress has recently admitted that Alanis Morissette has been a big help in getting over her break-up with the Scottish actor Ross McCall… well, not Alanis Morissette herself, but her music. Nicole Richie and her Good Charlotte frontman husband Joel Madden are going to have their hands full soon that after Joel has confirmed that Nicole, mother of 1 year old daughter is pregnant with their 2nd child.
In a blog that Joel has written on his band’s website he says “I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister! God has blessed my family. Hope you’re all feeling as good as I am right now.”

Further, the sources say that Rihanna was appalled that while Chris Brown said he was “sorry and saddened … over what transpired” he did not declare any remorse or give details about the bust up. Rihanna is still recuperating in Barbados from the various injuries she got at the hands of Chris Brown.

There were rumors going around that Victoria Beckham might be joining the X-Factor judging committee. It would have been fabulous but alas, the former Spice Girl is apparently too busy being a fashionista to fill the role. According to reports, her new line comes first and it was headed to New York to launch during the city’s fashion week. You can just chalk it up to bad timing. It would have been fun to see if there would be any cat fights between her and X-Factor judge Cheryl Cole though. We can only just imagine it right now. But maybe some time in the future, Victoria can join the cast.

Earlier last week, Chris’ sister spoke out and now, the alleged woman beater’s cousin is also coming to his defense. His cousin Phylicia Thompson said “Chris was not brought up…to beat on a woman. So it had to be something to provoke him for Chris to do it. He wouldn’t have done is just to be having fun….But what happens behind closed doors, nobody ever knows. He might feel down right now because his fans are looking down on him, like he’s done something wrong. Of course, yes, he’s done something wrong because he put his hands on her, but like I said, you don’t know what happened. He had to be provoked to do it. Chris would never have done it.” Provoked, pfft. Stupidity must run in the family.
Latin singing sensation Juanes and his wife Karen Martinez are expecting a child. This will be the couple’s third little one. The multiple Grammy award winning Colombian’s rep has confirmed the happy news saying “Yes, Karen and Juanes are extremely happy to be expecting their third child. Karen will be taking time off from all acting offers and Juanes plans to likewise cease touring and spend the next several months at home with his family while also beginning the early creative process on music for his next album.” Congratulations to the happy couple! I wish Karen a safe and smooth pregnancy.
Just a few days a ago Ashton Kutcher had something not so cool to say about the recent interview actor turned rapper Joaquin Phoenix had on the David Letterman show wherein Joaquin behaved in a bizarre manner stunning not only the audience but even talk show host David Letterman himself.
Many times the audience were laughing at Joaquin and when Letterman tried to grab his attention he was completely lost for words. Kutcher asked fans following his Twitter web blog, ‘Is he acting?” calling Phoenix’s behavior “a little strange”.
But now Ashton is doing a u-turn on his own words and says that the journalist have quoted his words out of context and misinterpreted the meaning of his words. But I think there is nothing wrong in what Ashton has said and he has said something that anyone person who watched the show would have realized about Joaquin.
And actually does it make any difference if that is what Ashton meant to say and the choice of words basically the real point is Joaquin Phoenix sucks…
Was it a Valentine Day split-up for Heroes costar and sweethearts Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia? Sources close to the couple said they called it quits last week but they have no idea whether this happened before, during or after Valentines Day. The two, who have remained friends after the break-up, have reportedly gone separate ways due to lifestyle conflict. The 19-year old Panettiere is apparently searching for excitement while her 30-year old boyfriend Ventimiglia prefers work especially now that he has his own production company. The 11-year age gap made their relationship controversial when they started dating in 2008 and while the couple did not mind the age difference at first, it seems to have caught up with them.
Panettiere however said she keeps herself grounded by skipping clubbing. She said people are expecting her to screw up and get involved in drugs or alcohol but they have to wait a long while because for now she is content with a glass of champagne when she is celebrating but is really more of a regular pizza and movie girl. The actress earlier said she wants a level-headed and secure man. So where did the break up come from?

Chris has been charged with making criminal threats and a scheduled court appearance has been marked for March. Speaking on this issue and the events Will said “Jada and I reached out to both of them. If it’s help they need, then let’s get it right. This is a time where they need to be left alone and if they have things they need to work out, work it out. People should take a minute before they jump on it and judge. We don’t know nothing. If there are mistakes people make, then they should be willing to live up to the mistakes and do whatever penance they need to do. I don’t think it’s up to us, specifically the media, with such a fast hand to try to chop someone’s head off.”
Jada is a women herself and sincerely this matter should not be blown under the carpet just cos’ it would create a bad name for Hollywood stars rather the media should highlight such incidents and show that there are atrocities happening against women in broad minded Hollywood as well.
Singer Mandy Moore could not keep her excitement to herself and admitted she is thrilled to be engaged to indie rocker Ryan Adams when she guested at The Bonnie Hunt Show. The 24-year old Moore said she is very happy with her engagement which came at the right time when is already complete, referring to her successful career. Moore and the 34-year old Adams have been dating on and off since 2008.
Adams likened Mandy to an angel that anyone would wish to meet his whole life. He however admitted to being allergic to paparazzi and that he has found an antidote which is to stay behind his guitar and typewriter. Moore became popular with her youthful singing style but was also able to crossover to the movies with the films “A Walk to Remember”, “Saved and American Dreamz” and “License to Wed”. Adams on the other hand is famous for the single “New York, New York”.
