When you’re on the D list, what do you do for extra cash? Why not try to promote your birthday at some crappy clubs in another country and hope to get paid something decent? It’s what Nick Carter did for his 29th birthday! The festivities took place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Fliers advertised the event as being “invited to this rare VIP event to celebrate the birthday of Nick Carter.” Party goers were lucky enough to hear Nick pretend to be a DJ. Tickets sold for $15 in advance and $20 at the door. The ticket info warned “Come early to avoid disappointment, as this will be a sold out event.” They wish. I bet only a handful came.

Motherhood and Joel Madden seems to be a tonic for Nicole Richie’s wild days of partying. Madden, who was spotted at the DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl last weekend, said Richie is staying at home and is no longer that interested in going to parties. He said he was there with his brothers for some bonding time. Madden and Richie’s baby Harlow has just turned one year old last January but Madden jokingly said she is already speaking five different languages and is on her way to a career as a translator for other babies. Madden sure looks like he is also enjoying domestic blissfulness with Nicole and their baby as he was spotted alone during a party hosted by his brother Benji during the same night.

Lionel Richie, Nicole’s adoptive father, earlier said he used to worry about Nicole’s life but is delighted with the kind of life she is presently leading. The young Richie has had a colorful life having been arrested in 2006 for driving under the influence of the painkiller VIcodin and marijuana. The 59-year old Richie said his daughter has amazing recovery powers as proven by her recovery after going through drugs, arrests and a car accident. He said he is not sure he was the best father as he had to always be away due to his work. He admitted to never making it in any one of their family reunions in the past 20 years.

Demi Lovato is set to release a Deluxe Edition of her debut album Don’t Forget on March 31st. The limited edition CD+DVD will include hit songs “La La Land” and “Get Back” as well as 2 brand new tracks. The DVD Experience features “Don’t Forget” live performance, “La La Land” and “Get Back” music videos, Demi in the studio, behind the scenes at Jonas Brothers’ Burnin’ Up tour, photo slideshow and more!

Demi just wrapped up a slew of NYC press dates to promote her new Disney Channel Show “Sonny With a Chance.” The new series will premiere on the Disney Channel, February 8th at 8pm/7 central with 2 back to back episodes.
