The Hiltons are very good at promoting a brand—first it was Hilton hotels and now it’s the Hilton brats. No it’s not some kind of movie but a behavior being exhibited by the two Hilton kids–Paris and her brother Barron. The younger Hilton was recently criticized for exhibiting bad behavior while pumping gas last year. Station employee Fernando Mendoza Tellez is asking remuneration for the injuries caused by Barron when he bumped Tellez with his Mercedes during his DUI bump last year.

Barron sideswiped a pickup truck in February last year and was followed by the irked driver on to a Malibu gas station. Hilton was asked to sit on a bench while the police were called but before that he plowed into Tellez and hit him on his leg. Hilton was tagged with a misdemeanor for driving under the influence of alcohol and possessing a false license for which he was sentenced to three-year probation and a $2,000 fine. Big sister Paris is not an ideal role model to start with so what can you expect?

Jason Mraz recently updated his MySpace page and on his blog are a couple of insightful thoughts. He talked about travelling saying “As usual, instead of souvenirs I brought home so many wonderful new thoughts, having enjoyed enlightened activities of real peace. I participated in ceremonies intended for expansion, balance and oneness, for the closing of the gaps within our selves and between each other. I saw places I had never dreamed I would see, tasted flavors I never knew existed, and spoke in languages of love I didn’t know I had the capacity for.” He also discusses the difference between being religious and spiritual saying “That’s enough of my spiritual banter, not to be confused with religious banter, since religion limits the amount of mystery we’re truly able to embrace. Religion often forces us to find one god whereas being spiritual simply means to feel the unbelievable power in all things. Such as, I believe in the undeniable power of you. Truly.”

Rocker Ryan Adams has just posted a photo on his official blog showing him, Mandy Moore and some pals having lunch in Brisbane. Sources say that the two have rekindled their romance. Ryan moaned publicly last year that he was ending things with Mandy because he couldn’t handle the attention that came with dating someone more famous than him. What is with Mandy and rekindling romances? She briefly got back together with DJ AM late last year and now she’s back with Ryan. I have a bad feeling that Mandy’s second go at their relationship isn’t going to go well either. She should just find a totally new guy to go out with.
