Jessica Simpson is said to have angered producers of her new TV show – after it emerged she is spending US$25,000 per episode to appear in front of the cameras.
The singer-turned-actress will jet to seven countries around the world in VH1 show, The Price of Beauty, as she investigates beauty treatments in different cultures.
But producers were said to be annoyed when they were handed the hair and make-up bill – that means Jess, is 29, more costly than Jennifer Lopez.
An insider said: “To get her camera-ready each episode will cost US$25,000.
“She insists on using her own hair, make-up and fashion stylists, who are more expensive than J.Lo’s.”
A representative for television network VH1 said: “We never comment on what we spend or don’t spend.”
Simpson’s spokeswoman told a US newspaper: “A budget was approved when the deal was made. All parties were satisfied.”
Joe Jonas has reportedly split with Camilla Belle. Before the official announcement from the actress’ rep, fans based the breakup theory off of some pretty strong acts of sadness from the Jonas Brothers singer. At a show in Detroit, the singer actually broke out in tears during two of his performances. Many fans saw and heard Joe cry through his ‘Camp Rock’ hit ‘Gotta Find You’ and ‘Turn Right’. Additionally, during the song ‘Much Better’, Joe changed the lyrics from “Get a rep for breakin’ hearts, now I’m done with superstars” to “Get a rep for breakin hearts, now I’m done with movie stars.” At their Boston show a week earlier, while performing ‘Much Better’, Joe took off the necklace that Camilla gave to him.
GI Joe star Sienna Miller admitted she once dyed her naturally-blonde hair brown with henna and it went “bright green”.
Sienna, 27, admitted she took drastic measures to try and restore her hair back to a normal colour.
She said: “When I went brunette, I stupidly dyed it myself with henna, not knowing it’s the worst thing you can put on blonde hair. It went bright green.
“The only thing that would get the green out was tomato ketchup. I’d have to sit with ketchup on my hair every week.”
Sienna, whose new movie GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra is out in cinemas now, said she also had a hair disaster when she was a teenager.
She said: “Oh, not good. I was short, skinny, no boobs – still haven’t really got them! I went through a spotty 14-year-old phase, which I remember getting moody about.
“I wanted to look like Winona Ryder, so I took in a photo of her pixie cut and came out looking like Wee Jimmy Krankie.”
Starting in October, look for ‘Star Wars: The Concert’ to hit an arena near you. Apparently, geeks will take any excuse to dress up and talk in fake alien languages. The concert version of the beloved sci-fi series will feature a live symphony orchestra, huge screens, film clips and a travelling exhibit. The music that will be featured will be a compilation of the work of John Williams from all six movies and Anthony Daniels, the actor who portrayed robot C-3PO in the movies, will even narrate the event live. The concert will kick off in Anaheim on October 1st. Tickets will go on sale on August 1st.
It’s been a couple of weeks now but the Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo break up is still a hot topic. News are coming out that the reason the couple broke up was because the failed country singer had been putting the pressure on the Dallas Cowboys quarterback to tie the knot. Tony apparently had enough when Jess insisted on a Ken and Barbie themed birthday party. After bickering over arrangements for the party, Tony told Jess that he wanted a break. It sounds like an easy way out. No one likes being pressured after all. But then again, Jess could have been all sorts of crazy about that party.
Mischa Barton was released from hospital in Los Angeles.
Her spokesman, Craig Schneider, said Barton was “out of the hospital and continuing to improve in anticipation of resuming production as planned”.
UK-born Barton was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after police were called to her home in Los Angeles to deal with a medical situation. Barton was said to be living with her sister.
Doctors at the facility then decided to order Barton to stay under a psychiatric hold, which can apply to patients who may be at risk to themselves.
Schneider would not elaborate on her condition. But he did restate his earlier comment that she would be reporting to work on TV series The Beautiful Life.
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has been receiving directing tips from the film’s producer David Barron as he reportedly wants to step behind the camera.
Daniel, 20, recently revealed his intentions to become a director following the end of shooting for the film series.
Barron is a producer on the final two-part film Deathly Hallows and he has been giving the star tips.
A source said: “Daniel has told friends he is looking for a project to direct when he finally waves goodbye to Hogwarts. He has been approached by a number of producers.
“He wants to direct something gritty and hard-hitting. David has been giving him guidance on how to reach his goal.”
Hollywood superstar Will Smith’s eight-year-old daughter Willow shows she’s a chip off the old block by appearing in a US TV movie.
The talented youngster is following in the acting footsteps of her famous dad, mum Jada Pinkett-Smith and brother Jaden with her role in True Jackson VP: Testing True.
Willow plays a younger version of lead character True in the film, based on the hit Nickelodeon TV series and premiered in America on Sunday night.
She appears in flashbacks as True – the teenage vice-president of a New York fashion company – reminisces about her childhood dreams.
The final scene sees Willow alongside Keke Palmer, who plays True, as they look ahead to the future and achieving more dreams.
LA Galaxy star David Beckham has no plans to leave the US and return to European football, according to reports.
David, 34, and wife Victoria, 35, moved to LA two years ago when David signed for the team.
However, he recently returned from a five-month stint playing for AC Milan on loan, but fans were less than impressed and said he wasn’t committed to the side.
A source said: “There’s no question over where David sees his future – the States. America has been wonderful for the family.
“The boys adore the lifestyle and get glowing report cards. David will have to try to make his football commitments work on both sides of the Atlantic.
“It won’t change their ultimate desire to stay in America and even welcome a new addition to the brood in the next few years.”

Sources say that Jamie Spears will ask the court to review the terms of the conservatorship after her concert tour ends in November. However, Jamie can’t ask the judge to end it but rather, just review it. It’s up to the judge if Britney gets to regain control of her life again. With how the singer has progressed, the judge may have already decided to end the conservatorship before Jamie even asks for a review. American Nordstrom stores may soon become a ghoul’s fantasy.
The Twilight series has become inspiration for a range of fashion and jewellery that will be developed in tandem with Summit Entertainment, the department store announced.
Silver- and gold-plated jewellery, including I Love Edward and I Love Jacob heart pendants, will be featured, as will bracelets. The range will also offer key fobs with charms including Bella’s truck, Jacob’s motorcycle, vampire family crests, a feather, a moon and a wolf.
“We hope to bring the Twilight experience into our stores through fashion for our customers,” said Loretta Soffe, executive vice-president and general merchandise manager for women’s apparel at Nordstrom. An apparel line will be created by Awake, Inc. to “reflect the mood and spirit of the films”.
“The line allows customers to show their love for the film by creating a whole look with pieces from the collection or combining with other merchandise to create a unique look of their own,” Nordstrom said.

Blockbuster video stores are now offering Twilight fans the chance to buy a New Moon-themed chocolate bar – featuring the faces of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
Made by Skybar, the three milk chocolate heart-shaped bars, called Heart’s Desire, feature the film’s lead characters Edward (Pattinson), Bella (Stewart) and Jacob (Lautner).
The crème-filled chocolate bars are being sold for 79 cents.
Hollywood actress Jessica Biel has admitted she only eats half a meal and then sends the rest back.
The 27-year-old, who is dating singer Justin Timberlake, made the revelation as she was asked about how she keeps fit.
She said: “You have to find a balance, especially with what you eat. I don’t live by the idea that you can’t allow yourself a treat.”
“I say: ‘Eat things you like, but eat them in smaller portions.’ I always cut things in half and send half back. I’m not perfect, I don’t always do those things, but that’s the goal! If there’s something I want to try, then I try it. But I have a bite, not the whole thing. That’s what you have to do.”
Mischa Barton’s condition is improved and she is planning to return to work, her publicist announced.
The former star of The OC was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and kept under a psychiatric hold after police were called to her home for an undisclosed medical problem in Los Angeles.
Spokesman Craig Schneider said Barton, 23, is “still seeking treatment but making improvements”.
Schneider said Barton plans to report to work on the new CW series The Beautiful Life later this month. A CW spokesman for the show, which stars Barton as a super model, said production was scheduled to begin July 31.

Troubled Mischa Barton’s latest TV project has been delayed by a week.
But the problems with new modeling drama The Beautiful Life has reportedly nothing to do with Barton’s health.
Former OC star Barton was recently involuntarily hospitalised by police in Los Angeles amid fears for her mental health.
Insiders say the problem with the Ashton Kutcher-produced TV show, which will shoot in New York, is to do with the construction of a set.
In the show, which has been put back by a week, Barton will play a pill-popping veteran supermodel who is on the verge of being replaced by a younger, fresher face.
G.I. Joe star Channing Tatum says he only agreed to make the new movie “because it had nothing to do with the military”.
Speaking at the first of several events around the world to promote G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra, Channing, 29, who married Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan on July 11, defended the action film, saying he wouldn’t have made it if it glorified war.
Speaking in Sydney, Australia, he also admitted he has had to delay his honeymoon because he will be promoting the new $170million movie for two weeks.
Channing, who plays the hero Duke in the film, said: “When I was first approached about the role I thought, ‘Aww man, how are you going to make a movie about G.I. Joe in a time of war?’
“Then I read the script and it was nothing to do with the military at all.
“I’m a big supporter of the soldiers and the military and I don’t have a view on the war at all, I’m not a political person.
“But this is a fantasy film, it is an escape from everything that is going on.”
He added: “I am on honeymoon but not at the moment.
“We’ll pick that up after the promotion work is done.”
Co-stars Marlon Wayans, Sienna Miller and Rachel Nichols were also at the event.
Harry Potter actress Emma Watson has admitted she is a “jeans” and “ballet flats” kind of girl.
Emma, 19, has previously been spotted in Chanel for premieres and posh events but she admitted she like to be casual on a day-to-day basis.
She said: “I live, really, in jeans from Topshop, blazers from Ralph Lauren or Reiss, and ballet flats.”
She added: “It’s very hard to describe your own style. And I’m young, so I’m still experimenting. But I think it’s quite British and very much about individuality.”
Emma also admitted she doesn’t like to look “perfect” and prefers to wear something more individual.
She said: “There’s nothing interesting about looking perfect – you lose the point. You want what you’re wearing to say something about you, about who you are.”
Author J.K. Rowling has spoken of the childhood traumas and mystical influences that inspired her to write the epic Harry Potter.
In a US television special screened on ABC, Rowling said the saga of childhood confusion, danger and adventure was driven by her own experiences growing up.
At the age of nine, Rowling’s family moved from a suburban Bristol street to the Gloucestershire countryside, near the Forest of Dean. It was a place that inspired the mystery of forests and magical creatures.
“I’m very drawn to, to a forest and it’s my favorite part of the Hogwarts grounds,” the author said in a November 2006 interview obtained by ABC News and used in the documentary J.K. Rowling: A Year in the Life.
“The advantage of a forest is it can be so many things: it can be a place of enchantment; you never imagine a crowd in a forest, it’s a solitary place. But there’s just something, is it because it used to be a place of shelter and safety to us, I suppose, so I think I am very drawn to them, even though they can be spooky.”
Rowling, who started writing from a young age, also spoke about the pain she suffered when her mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1980. “She had a very virulent form of the illness and at that time there were no drug treatments at all. And they said ‘Well, you’ve got multiple sclerosis, see you’.”
Rowling, whose books have sold more than 400 million copies, was distraught and she revealed that her mother’s illness strained her relationship with her father.
“I was very frightened of my father for a very long time,” she said in the 2006 interview. “I also tried desperately to get his approval and make him happy, I suppose, and then there came a point quite shamingly late in life where I couldn’t do that any more, and so I haven’t had any contact with my father now for a few years.”
