p>Matthew Fox has vowed to stick to just movies when Lost comes to an end.

Fox said he wants to stick to movies because it allows him to spend more time with his family.

The star has insisted that when he returns to acting, he will reduce his hectic schedule by only shooting a couple of movies a year.

He reportedly said: "I am not going to do television again.

"I have done two TV shows – Lost and Party of Five – that have each run for six years.

"When you add it all up, it is in the vicinity of 300 hours of television.

"I want to find a way to have more control over when I am working and when I’m not.

"I’m looking for more flexibility."

Fox said he didn’t want to miss spending time with his children while they grew up.

He said: "I am 42 and a father of two children… I don’t want to find myself 10 years from now, feeling like I was an absentee father because I was so focused on my career."

Actor Ben Affleck has revealed that dating megastar Jennifer Lopez was “bad for his career”.

J-Lo’s ex-boyfriend, who is now happily married to actress Jennifer Garner, says his work suffered after falling in love with the R&B diva.

“I was no longer in control of my life,” he said. “I thought I wanted certain things, but I didn’t. I got lost. I felt suffocated, miserable and gross. I should never have gone down that route or got sucked in to all the publicity.”

Affleck, 36, says the romantic partnership, which sparked a media frenzy in 2002, generated negative press, which led to the couple’s movie Gigli failing at the box office.

“I was typecast as myself,” he said. “Too many people weren’t getting past what they read about me.

“That was damaging. I can tell from experience it’s bad for you, and bad for your career. So I took a break, went away for a while and let things calm down.”

These days, Affleck is a laidback father of two daughters, Violet and Seraphina.

“Work has taken a back seat,” he added.

“My job is not as important as it was. Saying that having a family changed my life is a cliche. But it’s true – it re-arranged my life and made me see clearly.”
