Reality star Whitney Port’s fashion line is set to debut at the New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

Port’s line Whitney Eve is inspired by what she refers to as “funderland”.

The 24-year-old said: “We’re doing kind of like Alice in Wonderland goes to a really chic cocktail party. It’s really fun and playful and feminine and flirty.”

The City star insists her passion for fashion is real and not just for reality TV.

Whitney said: “Living in New York and being part of the entertainment industry, obviously fashion plays a huge role in that, so all of us find passions within that.

“I pretty much always knew I wanted to be a designer, but I just took some shortcuts along the way and am finally being able to do what I’ve always wanted. So, television aside, I really am living out my dream.”

Whitney’s former Hills co-star Lauren Conrad is set to follow in the footsteps of Whit and create her own fashion line to be strutted down the catwalks.

The Return of Captain EO

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

The people over at Disneyland are said to be announcing the return of ‘Captain EO’ to the park this January. Apparently, an outcry of park and Michael Jackson fans has urged for the return of the attraction to honor the memory of the late King of Pop. ‘Captain EO’ was a 17-minute long 3D space adventure created especially for the Disney parks, starring the singer and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. It’s being said that the official word will come out from the execs today. I think this is a nice way to pay tribute to Michael. ‘Captain EO’ was truly an amazing show!
