Tom Cruise sweetly supportive of Jay Leno

Tom Cruise sent Jay Leno a message of sweet success for his new TV show.
Just ahead of the debut of the new The Jay Leno Show, Leno received cupcakes and a coconut cake from the hotly favoured Sprinkles shop in Beverly Hills.
Celebs like to get their cupcakes there and Holmes is often seen with the sweet treats.
Cruise is a friend of Leno and has come out supportively ahead of Monday night’s debut. He is set to appear with Cameron Diaz on Tuesday night’s program. Holmes, meanwhile, is said to be wrapping up her movie, Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark – being shot in Australia – this week.
Whether or not the newly diet-conscious Leno will be allowed cupcakes is not confirmed. Leno recently said he had trimmed down ahead of his new show.
Cruise, said Leno, was enthusiastic about one of Leno’s new features, a racetrack for celebs. Leno said earlier: “I’ve told it to a number of stars and, as a matter of fact, even Tom Cruise called and said ‘Can I get in early and practise?’. I said ‘No, nobody gets to practise.’
“The fun thing about it, there’s a lot of people, [whom] people want to see, perhaps athletes and people like this who are not good talkers but would be fun in this sort of environment – to see if Shaquille O’Neal is faster than Cameron Diaz.”
