Cristiano Ronaldo has replaced David Beckham as the model for Emporio Armani’s underwear range.

Armani announced Ronaldo would be taking over from Beckham who has been the body of the Armani range for four years.

Beckham’s image in underwear he has promoted for Armani is unforgettable and bordering on iconic. His wife, Victoria Beckham, has also posed for the range, both by herself and with her husband.

Ronaldo, a steamy Portuguese rising soccer star who was spotted out in Los Angeles with Paris Hilton earlier this year, will be the “new official worldwide testimonial” for the label’s Men’s Underwear and Armani Jeans lines.

He will grace posters and billboards for the next Spring/Summer line.

Heroes newcomer Madeline Zima said she had an ‘inkling’ that she would be kissing Hayden Panettiere on the hit show.

The 24-year-old recently joined the cast of the hit show as Claire’s roommate Gretchen.

The two girls lock lips in one scene but Madeline said she wasn’t surprised at the scene.

She said to E! Online: “I had an inkling. I did always play my character a little bit with some kind of secret – whether it was that or something else still remains to be seen.”

Madeline added: “It’s always awkward, no matter if it’s a boy, a girl or whatever. It’s just an awkward thing to kiss somebody in front of other people.”

However Madeline said they didn’t rehearse the scene before, she said: “You don’t practice. That’s like sexual harassment, I think!”

Barbie is going on a diet.

The iconic doll is shedding the pounds in a redesign being overseen by French shoemaker to the stars Christian Louboutin.

The footwear designer, whose shoes are famous for their red soles, is designing three Barbie dolls to celebrate the doll’s 50th anniversary.

And he has decided to slim the doll’s ‘fat’ legs down because he felt she had ‘cankles’.

“He found her ankles were too fat,” a spokesman for Louboutin revealed.

American Idol alum Allison Iraheta has a new song out called ‘Friday I’ll Be Over U’. The song is the first single off of the singer’s debut album. Allison talked to PopEater about making the song saying “I worked with [Swedish producer] Max Martin, and he pulled it out of his magic box. He came up with an awesome song and sent it to me and we cut it and it was just amazing. He definitely knows how to put himself in other people’s shoes.” I can’t deny that the song is good and infectious but I would have expected something more on the rock side rather than pop coming from Allison.
