Single 90210 siren AnnaLynne McCord is on the lookout for a boyfriend – but wants “a man, not a boy”.

The TV beauty, who plays vixen Naomi in the remake of 90s hit Beverly Hills 90210, told how she likes confident men who will stand up to her.

She said: “I’m single and I do have a type of guy. I want a man, not a boy. That’s very important. There are a lot of boys here, even 45 years old….

“Not one who thinks he is a man, one that actually is a man. There’s a difference. I think it’s mostly about confidence. It’s just like with what I do, especially the roles I play, they are kind of naughty.”

McCord, who has been romantically linked to Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz, also told US chat show host Conan O’Brien: “I have to have someone who is confident, who is secure in themselves. I’m a little fighter, so unless you’re going to fight me and win – which you probably won’t, I’m hoping that you will, I’m really pulling for you, but you’re not going to win.”

Actress Brittany Murphy has denied reports that she has been fired from her new flick and replaced by Twilight’s Rachelle Lefevre.

Reports said that Murphy, 32, was fired from the set of her latest film for being difficult and that her Brit husband Simon Monjack, who was recently hospitalised, had fought with locals.

However her rep has since dismissed the reports and said that none of them are true.

A rep said: “The allegations currently circulating on the internet about Brittany Murphy and her husband Simon Monjack read like a fictional plot from one of the 50 plus movies Ms Murphy has successfully completed without incident.

“She was not, nor has she ever been fired from any job big or small. Mr Monjack did not engage in any alleged scuffles. Though due to creative difficulties Ms Murphy and the production mutually parted ways.

“As far as wanting to allegedly ’sabotage this project’, to the contrary Ms Murphy wished this production nothing but the best.

“Puerto Rico gave Ms Murphy a brief insight into its wonderful culture and warm people. Ms Murphy would like to take this opportunity to thank the public for their continued support.”

Katy Perry’s parents steering Russell Brand into the light

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Well it’s not the light at the end of the mythical tunnel, as some might feel inclined to think. No, actually, Katy Perry’s parents seem to have taken a big shine to Russell Brand, so much so that they want to help him discover God. Katy Perry’s mother actually said the following about this: “Russell must go towards the light and not toward the darkness. Only God can take the very worst person and turn them around for good.” Oooookei, looks like Russell Brand is really getting into the right family. Yet another daunting task for him, but he’ll probably pull through. After all, Katy Perry is really worth it, isn’t she?
