Miley Cyrus Pulled from Grammy Nod

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

‘The Climb’ performed by Miley Cyrus for ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie’ was nominated for a Grammy just last week but it was recently pulled to be replaced by ‘All is Love’ by Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs for ‘Where the Wild Things Are’. The young singer’s people aren’t surprised about the swap though since the Disney song was submitted to the category of Best Song Written for a Soundtrack by mistake. The Grammy organization didn’t go into detail about the swap but I’m sure Miley doesn’t really care since she didn’t even write the song, therefore wasn’t actually nominated to begin with.

Actress Bryce Dallas Howard has spoken out about replacing Rachelle Lefevre in the Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Howard, 28, will take over the role of evil vampire Victoria in the third movie, replacing Lefevre, 30, who played the part in the first two movies.

Asked what advice she would give to someone taking over a role from someone else, she said: “We’ll see. The jury is still out, because Rachelle really created an incredible character and is exquisite.

“I felt like the uproar that occurred was really appropriate, because part of the joy of seeing a franchise, it’s almost like a television series. You’ve seen the actors grow with the franchise.

“And [Lefevre's] unavailability [to do Eclipse] was really, really, really unfortunate. Advice? Gosh. Just to do your best and be uber-respectful. She won that role for a reason. I hope to honour everything that she created.”

Howard was also asked if she will reprise the role of Victoria for the fourth movie Breaking Dawn.

She said: “I don’t want to give anything away, but ‘Victoria has a life span,’ is what I’ll say. That’s all I can say about that.”
