Newest Twilight star back in Australia
Twilight star Xavier Samuel has returned home to Australia and his favorite car, a USD$450 Ford Falcon.
Samuel, 25, is spending time over the holidays with his parents, brother and sister at the family home in Adelaide, South Australia.
He has been spotted driving around town in the beaten-up old car, which he bought with his younger brother.
The actor, who stars in the third film in the trilogy, Eclipse, also says it is “strange” being a celeb but says he will follow the example set by Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
He also told an Australian paper: “It’s a bizarre thing, the whole celebrity phenomenon. It’s a little strange having someone follow you to get a coffee. I wasn’t used to that sort of attention, so I just took it in my stride, I guess. I think Robert and Kristen do a really good job dealing with fans. They seem to handle it really well, so if I can take a leaf out of their book I should be OK.”
The hunk will spend New Year’s Eve with his family before driving to Sydney with his brother.
Benedict is following in Xavier’s footsteps and studying acting at NIDA, the National Institute of Dramatic Art.
Talking about driving to Sydney in the car, he said: “The car only has a tape deck, so that’s what we’ve been asking everyone for Christmas – car tapes.”
