Sales of Beyonce’s latest album,”4”, exploded after the American singer has announced she is pregnant with her first child.
After giving the big news at MTV Video Music Awards 2011, sales of the album “4” have rised in the U.S.. During the show, which took place on August 28th in Los Angeles, Beyonce told the audience in the hall:
”I want you to feel the love that grows in me.”
Her words confirmed thus the rumors about a possible pregnancy already circulating for months, informs Nme.com. At the end of the song “Loveon Top”, Beyonce has opened her jacket and she caressed her tummy, while her husband, Jay-Z, embraced his good friend, Kanye West, in public.
According to the Billboard site, the album”4”’s sales increased by 40% since Sunday, and is most likely to reach the threshold of 40,000 units sold by the end of this week.
The DJ has recently revealed a few new pieces of information regarding his next album. This is what David Guetta had to say on the matter: “The challenge for me on this album was not to make another hit record. It was more the challenge of being creative and reinventing myself. I have a responsibility also for my fans to surprise them and always come with a futuristic sound, and this was also why it was so important for me to make this electronic album at the same time. I really wanted to surprise people.” Well it certainly seems like David Guetta has managed to formulate a good plan for his future releases. All that’s left now is to actually make it happen.
Pia Toscano may have been voted off American Idol pretty early but she’s made an impact with the right people in the music industry even if she didn’t strike enough of a chord with America. And just because she didn’t win doesn’t mean she can’t be successful. The singer, who is currently working on her album with producer Rodney Jerkins under Interscope Records, said “It’s definitely going to be big ballads, but there’s also going to be those fun up-tempo songs, those dancing songs. I feel like on the show people really only saw me in one way, and I want to show the world that I can do other things.”
Now that the Jonas Brothers have pretty much gone their separate ways with solo careers and whatnot, it seems highly appropriate that they embrace their family bonds through mutual credit of each other’s works. To that extent, Nick Jonas had a little something to say about Joe Jonas’ upcoming solo album: “Joe’s record’s really coming together nicely. It’s a really quality record. I listened to it in the car, and I was just loving it.” Well it’s good to see that he’s so optimistic about it. Maybe Joe Jonas will be as optimistic about Nick Jonas’ solo work as well.

The first single, “Automatic” is a metallic anthem with layered, buzzing guitars, stomping percussion, and a falsetto chorus made to be belted out by a stadium full of people while “World Behind My Wall” redefines the power ballad with depth, introspection, musical confidence and an irresistible sing-along chorus. The band tracked songs in Hamburg, Miami, and L.A. “Bill drove us all crazy, constantly coming in with things, even though the old songs weren’t finished yet,” says Tom, who’s fond of frequently ribbing his brother. “Apart from that, we just didn’t limit ourselves, and we used new instruments.”

Introducing Orianthi, the guitar phenomenon who is featured prominently in the upcoming Michael Jackson concert documentary, This Is It. Already a renowned musician, Orianthi has been playing guitar since the age of eleven and was discovered by legend Carlos Santana. After playing with artists like Carrie Underwood, ZZ Top, and Prince, she received a MySpace message from Michael Jackson’s musical director asking her to audition for his comeback tour. Following a test run with the King of Pop himself, she was selected as his lead guitarist for his O2 arena dates in London – a crowning acheivement for the 24 year old from Adelaide, Australia.
Now Orianthi is preparing to release her solo debut album, Believe, on October 27th. In addition to her talent at guitar, Orianthi has a gorgeous voice and even sang at Michael Jackson’s Staples Center memorial service. Even before starting rehearsals for his tour though, she was hard at work writing and recording the album with her band. Believe is full of anthemic rock tracks with a sound reminiscent of Paramore or Evanescence, but entirely Orianthi thanks to her signature shreds and thunderous hooks. Her first single, “According to You” is a catchy tale of an ungrateful boyfriend, featuring a killer guitar solo.

To celebrate the release of their eighth studio album, Crash Love, AFI took to the stage at the world famous Roxy on Sunset thanks to local Los Angeles radio station KROQ. In front of an intimate crowd of hundred’s, rather than thousands that typically fill AFI shows, the band played a thrashing 14 song set filled with classics of the past, and a handful of Crash Love gems that are soon to be just that. Highlights of the night were too many to capsulize, but front man Davey Havok’s front flip into the waiting crowd on “Kill Caustic” and the stunning rendition of The Cure’s classic “Just Like Heaven” marked just a few of the moments that lit up the night. Reminiscent of 1995, AFI welcomed Nick 13 (Tiger Army) and Geoff Kresge (ex AFI/Tiger Army) to the stage to sing “Nyquil,” a track from the band’s first album, Answer That and Stay Fashionable. Electric performances of AFI’s radio singles “Miss Murder” and Crash Love’s “Medicate” put a cap on a night that will not soon be forgotten by the fan’s lucky enough to be present that night.

Green Day has just premiered the video for their new single, “21 Guns,” exclusively on MySpace Music. The video was helmed by noted director Marc Webb, who has lensed clips for such artists as My Chemical Romance, Weezer, and All-American Rejects, and is making his feature film directorial debut in July with (500) Days of Summer.
“21 Guns” is the second single from the band’s latest album 21st Century Breakdown, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, as well as on the Rock, Active Rock, and Alternative charts, fueled by the Alternative radio No. 1 single “Know Your Enemy.” 21st Century Breakdown, which Rolling Stone has called “a rock opera in which the rock always comes first,” also topped the charts in 24 countries including the UK, Canada, and Japan.
Over the past month, Green Day has continued to work with MySpace Music for the promotion of 21st Century Breakdown. During the week of the album’s release, they played an exclusive concert in New York City which was filmed for the site’s premiere online concert program, The List. Black Eyed Peas’ “The E.N.D.” bows at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 304,000 — the hip-pop act’s best sales week ever. It’s also the first No. 1 album for the group, which had previously gone as high as No. 2. Its last set, 2005′s “Monkey Business,” bowed in the runner-up slot with a then-best 291,000. It had the unfortunate luck to come out the same week as Coldplay’s “X&Y,” which kept the Peas’ at bay when it started at No. 1 with 737,000. via Billboard.com

The reggae singer has recently released an album that is made up entirely for kids. When asked about his intentions with this new release, Ziggy Marley replied: “I want to get the message to people who have an open mind, who don’t have closed mind, who’s not already set in their ways, and the only people like that are children. If I say my purpose is to make music that is going to make a change in the world or influence people, then who better to influence than children?” A noble endeavor on Ziggy Marley’s behalf, but he needs to understand the difference between open-minded and spunge. You could call children open-minded, but it would be a bit of an understatement. An open mind still filters things, a spunge just absorbs. Hopefully Ziggy Marley didn’t include too much of that favorite reggae motif we are all so familiar with on his new release.
