Maybe the next time someone exhibits the classic behavior of an addict in trouble, rather than using it as tabloid fodder, more energy could be spent attempting to help the person. It’s a heartbreaking loss, not just of an incredibly talented artist, but of a beautiful and blessed young woman in the beginning of her life.”

Amy Winehouse’s Autopsy is Inconclusive

Wednesday, July 27th, 2011
The autopsy on Amy Winehouse has wrapped up but they couldn’t identify the cause of death, which is why an investigation will now begin in Britain to determine what happened to the singer. Coroner Sharon Duff ordered a Section 20 postmortem on Amy, which means that she feels that “there is reasonable cause to suspect that a person has died a violent or unnatural death or in any other way which would require an inquest.” I’m not sure what to think of that, given the fact that Amy’s death was deemed non-suspicious at the scene of the crime and that no drugs were found in her home. I guess we’ll find out more once the histology and toxicology reports come back.

Blake_Fielder-Civil.jpg

Amy Winehouse’s jailed ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil is “beyond inconsolable” over the death of the singer. The former heroin addict, who is serving 32 months for burglary and a firearms offence, said he broke down when prison officers called him from his cell on Saturday afternoon to tell him the love of his life was dead. The pair were married for two years but called time on their relationship in 2009 after a series of public fights and run-ins with the law. “I will never ever again feel the love I felt for her,” he told The Sun. “Everybody who knew me and knew Amy knew the depth of our love. I can’t believe she’s dead.” Sarah Aspin, his present girlfriend and mother of his newborn son Jack, was granted a compassionate visit to Leeds’ Armley Jail to comfort him and revealed he feels wracked with guilt for not being able to save her. “He is devastated and shattered. He just can’t take it in that she’s dead and he’ll never see her again,” she said. “Blake rang me on Saturday after the prison authorities told him she’d died. I just couldn’t console him. He was in total shock. Blake is the father of our son. But I saw him and Amy together and I know they were really in love and they were soulmates. She always loved him and he always loved her – but it was just never going to work. Basically they couldn’t live with each other and they could not live without each other. It is hard for me knowing he still loved her, but I do understand his feelings.”

Wino Fashion Line

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

Amy Winehouse is launching a clothing collection in collaboration with British label Fred Perry. The British train wreck of a singer’s line is expected to make its debut in stores in October. Richard Martin, Fred Perry’s marketing director, explained the partnership with Wino to the media by saying “Amy has been wearing Fred Perry for years, so we were aware she was a genuine fan of the brand. Amy has a unique sense of style that reflects the brand’s own historical reference points.” If the designs are from the Wino druggie era, I want no part of it. I’m fine with everything else though.

Amy Winehouse has a new time-eating habit

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

And if it were only time this new habit of hers was eating up. Amy Winehouse’s father, Mitch Winehouse, is once more worried that the troubled singer has replaced her drug addiction with something probably just as damaging: shoe shopping. This is what Mitch Winehouse related about Amy Winehouse’s new habit: “Amy has blown stupid amounts on shoes, she’s replaced her drug addiction with a shopping addiction. She bought 20 pairs of designer shoes in one afternoon. I returned them all to Selfridges. She’d never wear them, she has two rooms full of un-opened, unworn shoes, it’s ridiculous, such a waste.” This is probably just Amy Winehouse’s way of showing everybody how much she hates the world because Blake Fielder-Civil isn’t coming to Jamaica with her. Well, there’s only one way to deal with a stubborn child… just keep on returning them shoes there daddy.

He added “I shouldn’t have said that should I? She looks absolutely fantastic.” When asked about the rumored $56,000 cost, Mitch said “I don’t know. I didn’t have to pay for it – that’s all I know. Whenever I see her, she says, ‘Dad can you give me a couple of hundred.’ [But] I didn’t have to pay for the boobs. I don’t know.”

Amy Winehouse dating again

Monday, October 12th, 2009

It seems that the troubled and unlucky in love singer has finally hit the jackpot once more… the problem is, nobody knows who this new man in Amy Winehouse’s life is. Only the following could be heard about Amy Winehouse’s new romance: “Amy’s been seeing a new guy for just over a month. He’s good for her. He tells her she’s a beautiful woman and wants her to value her life. Amy has a lot of self-doubt and often loathes the life she’s created. But her new man is slowly making her like herself again.” This I don’t get… they can get close enough to hear what the man tells her, but they can’t find out who he is? There is a foul smell about this whole thing…
