Brazilian police discovered a group of drug dealers selling their merchandise with Amy Winehouse’s face printed on the doses of cocaine.
In an attempt to increase sales, a group of drug dealers in Brazil began selling doses with British singer’s portrait on them.
These doses of cocaine were being sold for amounts between 10 and 25 real, declared Glaucio Moreira, lieutenant colonel in the Brazilian police. He led an operation on the streets of Manginhos, north of Rio.
“Given the media reports that she was a drug addict, drug dealers wanted to take advantage of that to sell cocaine,” he said.
The operation also led to the confiscation of marijuana and crack cocaine bags, some of them having the face of former al-Qaeda leader, Osama bin Laden.

“I am so devastated and sad. I could not talk for about 48 hours. I was in a state of shock. I do not think Amy needed to learn any lesson. I think the lesson was for the world to be better to her. Everyone was so hard on Amy and yet, all I knew about her is that she was the nicest and kindest person. “said Lady Gaga.
Lady Gaga admitted that she took drugs and now she is ashamed of her past.

A close friend and drug provider of Amy Winehouse said he helped the singer to buy cocaine and heroin worth £ 1,200 on the day of her death.
Tony Azzopardi, who is about to be questioned by police said he helped Amy to buy A class drugs a few hours before she’s been found dead in her home in London, according to Daily Mail.
The man, 56 years old, said he met Amy through her former husband Blake Fielder Civil. He also claimed that he wants her family to know the truth about what happened.
Azzopardi told the Daily Mirror that he went with the artist to West Hampstead, where they made contact with a local dealer. Shortly after the phonecall, he gave the singer heroin and cocaine worth £ 1,200. The man has claimed that he last saw Amy when he left her on Archway, north London, before she went home. Several hours later, Amy’s body was found by her bodyguard.
However, the family says Azzopardi’s story does not match with what Amy did. Her father says the artist was trying to give up alcohol and she gave up drugs a few years ago.

The stake was an iPod, which Lady Death would give to the most skilled clairvoyant.
The lucky winner accessed the website on 21st of December 2007 and chose Amy Winehouse’s day of death as 23rd of July 2011.
In the four years after the onset of the contest there were plenty of visionaries willing to predict, but about 96,000 contestants retreated frightened by the idea that they might be right.
Amy Winehouse has found dead by one of her bodyguards, on 23rd of July, in her personal home in Camden, London.

At the request of fans, Fred Perry creators want to put on the market the last collection designed by the singer, but are waiting for approval from her family. Amy Winehouse’s father, Mitch, refuse to recognize the drug addiction faced by his daughter, even though deep down he realize that the artist lost all control. The man says she escaped the drug addiction three weeks ago and was even able to play two hours in a club in London.
`I’ll talk a lot about Amy’s recovery. She was a wonderful daughter and a true friend. Reg (No Amy Winehouse’s ex-boyfriend) helped her to treat herself. She was happier than ever. Three years ago, Amy got rid of drugs. Doctors said she will not succeed, but she did. In the last three weeks she did not consume anything. She said she was sick of it. She did not fall into a depression. On Friday she was happy. Knowing that she died happy makes us all to feel better’, Mitch Winehouse said.
The British are not, however, agreeing with the words of the grieving father.
‘Mitch will always deny Amy’s drug addiction, even if everyone knows the truth. Amy met with her mother the day before she died and she said her daughter had no escape. I would like him not to claim what is untrue’, said the British DailyMail.

The autopsy on Amy Winehouse has wrapped up but they couldn’t identify the cause of death, which is why an investigation will now begin in Britain to determine what happened to the singer. Coroner Sharon Duff ordered a Section 20 postmortem on Amy, which means that she feels that “there is reasonable cause to suspect that a person has died a violent or unnatural death or in any other way which would require an inquest.” I’m not sure what to think of that, given the fact that Amy’s death was deemed non-suspicious at the scene of the crime and that no drugs were found in her home. I guess we’ll find out more once the histology and toxicology reports come back.

It’s been a tough couple of days but Amy Winehouse’s parents seem to be holding up well. After news came out of the singer’s passing on Saturday, sources said that drugs were likely not responsible for her death. Her parents also spoke out about her death, and while devastated with the news, didn’t think that drugs were involved either. Police have confirmed that no signs of drugs were spotted in Amy’s house. I guess we just have to wait for the toxicology reports to come in. In the meantime, my thoughts go out to her parents, as well has the rest of Amy’s family and friends, during this difficult time.

The British singer died at the age of 27 years on Saturday, July 23. Her body was found by the police at her home in Camden, London at around 16.00, after London’s time zone.
The reason of death was rumored to be a lethal overdose, although officials insist that death had occurred in “inexplicable” circumstances. However, the television man Panthaki told Sunday Mirror:
` A good friend’s boyfriend is a cop and was one of the agents who found Amy Winehouse dead. Overdose of ecstasy ‘, says Panthaki.
The artist father, Mitch, said he was devastated by the terrible news of his daughter’s death, saying that it seems “unreal.”
Amy’s colleagues have expressed their regret online, among them Lily Allen, Jessie J, Kelly Osbourne and Boy George. Mark Ronson, producer of the successful album ‘Back To Black’ , described Winehouse as being his “soul mate in terms of music.”
