Avril Lavigne Goes Acoustic – What the Hell

Avril Lavigne recently performed live for a TV show in the UK. The Canadian pop rock singer did something special for this recent performance as she decided to ditch the backing track and play “What the Hell” completely acoustic. Avril’s voice was put into question due to the awful live performances she’s had of the song thus far but she completely blew everyone away with this one. She sounded amazing and I think it’s her best performance of the song thus far. While she did great, the single isn’t doing so well as it hadn’t cracked the top 5 in major areas like the US and the UK. I’m hoping she releases a new single soon that could do so.

Avril Lavigne is a passionate skateboarder

It seems the singer is such a big fan and practitioner of skateboarding that she’s actually started doing it in the most unusual of places. This is what Avril Lavigne recently admitted about her hobby: “I sometimes skateboard at my house. This might sound really strange and bizarre, but I skateboard in my garage.” It doesn’t really sound so much strange and bizarre as it actually sounds dangerous. Avril Lavigne must be one hell of a skater if she can actually skate in her garage and not get hurt… either that, or she has a very big garage. It might be a garage that Tony Hawk has or would like to have.

Isn’t love just grand? The true type, of course, the kind of love that makes you get so bombed that you get matching tattoos with your more-than-bombed soul-mate… and of course, the scene wouldn’t be complete without the tattoo being of the word “FUCK”. This is what Avril Lavigne and her new “raison d’etre”, Brody Jenner, have been doing this week-end as a source relates: “They were laughing and said they had not slept in two days. They were completely, utterly out of it. Then nobody could believe it when they said they wanted the word FUCK written on their ribs. Avril didn’t even care that the only person available to ink her in the shop was an apprentice. She just said, ‘I don’t care, do it.’ Neither of them seemed to stop and think about what they were doing, it was just one big laugh.” It’s too bad nobody was there to record what happened after Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner did after they eventually got some sleep and then woke up and saw what had happened.

Avril is Confused about Geography and Law

Avril Lavigne is turning into such a big diva that’s she’s getting confused about where some laws hold jurisdiction. Sources are saying that she’s being just that in Sweden. Apparently, Avril is set to perform in Sweden on Saturday where she has demanded that any photographer hoping to shoot at the concert sign a contract that goes against Swedish law. Apparently, the Canadian singer wants the Swedish media to follow US law. Now why would Swedes follow a US law when they’re in their home turf? Add to that, it’s not even an American pushing the law on them.
Avril is just so stupid.

Avril Cancels Show

Avril Lavigne has reportedly postponed her concert in San Diego as she’s supposedly suffering from throat problems. I think that’s just a cover up for poor ticket sales but whatever. But a source says that it’s actually excessive partying that is to blame. The source says that at a private performance before the big show in Vegas, Boy Like Girls’ (Avril’s opening act) told the crowd that he and Avril went shot after shot all night long in her suite at the Palms. Avril even claimed that she was so hung over from drinking so much the night before. Gee, that’s responsible, promoting drinking to tweens in the audience. Oh by the way, the concert is now officially cancelled. I guess the promoters didn’t think that it was worth it to reschedule.

Avril Cancels

After it was revealed that Avril Lavigne is paying dancers way below the industry standards, the Canadian singer and so-called songwriter has cancelled auditions for dancers on her tour. The dance community was set to boycott Avril for the low pay rate but the Dancer’s Alliance posted an update on Monday night saying that “As of February 4th, 10:30pm Avril’s management has canceled the audition tomorrow and has opened up a new conversation with the agencies. Thanks for everyone’s support on this issue.”

Congratulations to the dancers for getting what they wanted. Demand for what your worth and don’t fall prey to egos like Avril!

Avril on the Internet

Avril Lavigne had an interview on Wednesday morning for Buzz Bishop on 95 Crave in Vancouver and she had some interesting things to say about Internet and British journalists.

She thinks that the internet is very negative and think that people are obsessed with celebrities and seeing them fail. She also thinks that she hasn’t failed or done anything wrong and that she’s kept herself together pretty good.

When it comes to the UK, she blasts journalist for quoting her on things she didn’t even say. She even named Q magazine for printing false quotes from her and it ending up on the internet and people making a big deal out of it.

She thinks it’s unfortunate. I think her existence is unfortunate.

Avril’s Drunken Escapades

A couple of days ago, one Avril Ramona Lavigne had an early 23rd birthday celebration at Koi. When drunk or whenever she chooses, Avril is known to be a big party pooper but this time, she was actually nice and even invited paparazzi to join in the festivities.

She may have spit at photographers before but that night, she chose to pose with them and was even friendly. The pink tiara-wearing punk princess also took her own photos with the paps and even a few shots of them alone.

Who was the girl and what the heck has she done with the real Avril who everybody hates?

Copycat Avril

Avril Lavigne has got a lot of explaining to do. The Canadian poser, I mean, punk princess has angered a few songwriters with her copycat ways. Chantal Kreviazuk is one of few that have spoken out on it claiming that one of the songs on Avril’s ‘The Best Damn Thing’ album is one that she sent to the singer two years ago. But if you look at the track listing, Chantal’s name is nowhere to be found. Chantal even finds it funny that Avril claims to be a songwriter when she doesn’t really sit and write songs on her own.

More recently, Rubinoos founding member Tommy Dunbar that Avril’s ‘Girlfriend’ sounds very much like the band’s 70s hit ‘I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend’.

If proven to be a copycat, Avril may stand to lose big bucks and whatever respect for her is left.
