A few months back Justin Bieber was supposedly called upon by President Barack Obama himself to meet a 14 year-old girl whose father had been killed in the 9/11 attacks. At the time the media was supposedly ripping on the whole thing with no low amount of skepticism over the fulfillment of this request. But Justin Bieber, being the fan lover that he is, actually did meet the girl on Thursday in New York, after his little incident. There is even a picture of them floating around on the internet. So it seems that the singer is none too shy when it comes to fulfilling requests for his good old buddy, President Barack Obama. He will most likely be called upon to serve in the future also.

Tina Fey’s four-year-old daughter may start impersonating Barack Obama after thinking she looks like the US President.

The actress says her little girl may have got confused after hearing people compare her mum to Sarah Palin.

“She says she looks like Barack Obama,” the 39-year-old says.

“I think she heard so many people at that time saying I looked like Sarah Palin, I think she was just trying to get in on that.

“‘I look like Barack Obama’. OK. Sure.”

Fey shares the funny story in the latest issue of US Esquire.

The actress appears on the April cover of the magazine as she promotes her latest movie, Date Night.

Fey also tells another tale about her daughter Alice in the interview, saying: “My four-year-old daughter has a pretend hair-and-nail salon and I was doing her hair and make-up and I said: ‘Hello ma’am. What’s your name? And what do you do?’

“And she said: ‘I get paid to dance at parties’.

“And I said: ‘Oh, no. That’s a terrible, terrible answer.”

US president Barack Obama has expressed his support for fallen golfer Tiger Woods.

Obama said Woods will be a “terrific” golfer despite his personal issues, the AP reports.

Woods, who just announced his return to competitive golf, is reported on the road to re-establishing his sporting career after the fallout from revelations of multiple extra-marital affairs. He announced he would play The Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia next month, as insiders noted he picked the “most controlled” of tourneys for a comeback.

Obama in an interview with the Fox News Channel on Wednesday said that Woods has acknowledged betraying his family and that he has to work out personal issues. Obama said he was sure Woods is still going to be a terrific golfer.

Woods appears to be en route to healing his marriage to Elin Nordegren after taking four months off to attend to rehab and damage control.

First Lady Michelle Obama doled out some dating advice in an interview with Glamour Magazine.

Mrs Obama says: “Cute’s good. But cute only lasts for so long, and then it’s: Who are you as a person? Don’t look at the bankbook or the title. Look at the heart. Look at the soul. When you’re dating a man, you should always feel good. You shouldn’t be in a relationship with somebody who doesn’t make you completely happy and make you feel whole.”

Mrs Obama’s interview is teased as a look back at her big year and answers to “your” questions.

She also addressed the question of her unconventional fashion sense, which has raised eyebrows in some quarters. She said: “People are always going to have opinions, and people have a right to their opinions, particularly when you’re the First Lady, you’re representing the nation. So I can’t be surprised that people are interested. But I’ve tried to be at peace with the choices that I make first, and then be open to everyone else’s reflection.”

Being the daughter of the President of the United States has its perks and getting celebrities in your backyard is one of them. This was found out by Presidential daughters Malia and Sasha Obama during their first night at the White House when they got a surprise visit from the Jonas Brother. The girls were left alone with their Sidwell Friends (although having hundreds of White Staff and bodyguards wouldn’t quality as being alone) while their parents Barack and Michele Obama were making their inaugural ball rounds. While playing scavenger hunt to familiarize them with the White House, Malia and Sasha discovered Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas hiding in the East Room. It turned out the Jonas Brothers, who came with their parents, were invited to surprise and entertain the girls and their friends. The little surprise got a big help from First Lady Michelle Obama.

The Jonas Brother played three acoustic songs and gamely posed with the Obama kids and their guests. The Obama kids met the Jonas Brothers earlier during the Kids Inaugural concert. The Jonas Brothers performed with Miley Cyrus durign the Kids concert which had about 14,000 in the crowd. They were however upstaged by the First Lady when she came out with her kids to greet the crowd.

Among the performers at the inauguration ball today there is the super-diva Mariah Carey who will be singing “Hero” at the big show, a song I need remind you she thought of while taking a dump. Ironic that she had only these words to say about the event: “It’s fitting for him. It’s appropriate.” For the sake of the staff who will be working there I hope Mariah Carey won’t be showing off how much of a diva she tries to be, especially since Beyonce Knowles will be there too… and God knows who else. Woe unto those who have to put up with them all.

It is not only the news networks that have broken the news of the success of the 44th President of the United States of America but virtually every television channel not only in the country but anywhere in the world has called aloud: “Barack Obama has become the new President of the United States of America”.

And above all, the competition was no where close to TIGHT. Obama has defeated his opponent by more than expected lead and secured far beyond the necessary 270 Electoral votes.

It was a huge night of celebration in the Obama camp and rightly so, because they had worked hard and now on this night they deserved the best champagne in the world.

Country music superstar Carrie Underwood has reportedly lost all respect for Oprah, Jennifer Aniston, George Clooney and other celebrities who have backed candidates for office. Talk about ruffling some feathers. While talking about the elections with TV Guide, Carrie said “There is someone I do support, but I don’t support publicly. I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate. It’s saying that the American public isn’t smart enough to make their own decisions. I would never want anybody to vote for anything or anybody just because I told them to. Music is where you go to get away from all the BS. Whether it’s from politics or just the world around you, music should be an escape.”
