The singer has recently released a new song… which is quite the big news seeing as how this hasn’t happened for quite some time. The new song is called “Hold it Against me” and it’s a little different from what Britney Spears usually sings, but truth be told, it’s still pop. No really radical changes have been made, just a rather strange beat that might suggest D’n’B or something of the sort and the same old lyrics that you’d find in most pop songs. The vocal performance isn’t truly impressing or amazing, but this is Britney Spears. It’s not about the vocals, it’s about the hype and the image.
Britney Spears is almost back as the demo of her brand new single “Hold it Against Me” has recently leaked online. The female vocals you’ll hear are reportedly from American singer/songwriter Bonnie McKee. Do remember that this is just the demo and that Dr. Luke and Max Martin will have probably already revamped the entire production. But for a demo, this thing sure sounds hot. According to website PopJustice, whose team has already heard the final cut, this demo is the real thing but misses a middle 8 from Britney’s version. The only thing I hope that they didn’t touch is the chorus. I cannot wait to hear the pop star’s vocals on the song!

Britney Spears shot her new ‘3’ music video at a Los Angeles studio earlier this month. Her new single has been burning up the charts and the pop singer wanted to thank everyone. Britney took to her Twitter to do that, saying “I want to thank my fans for making ‘3′ the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. Britney Spears’ daddy seems to be ready to let his daughter back into the wild again as reports are saying that the conservatorship may be coming to an end. Sources say that Jamie Spears will ask the court to review the terms of the conservatorship after her concert tour ends in November. However, Jamie can’t ask the judge to end it but rather, just review it. It’s up to the judge if Britney gets to regain control of her life again. With how the singer has progressed, the judge may have already decided to end the conservatorship before Jamie even asks for a review. This is most likely the most successful comeback of a star I’ve ever seen.
In this past weekend’s episode of ‘Saturday Night Live’, Justin Timberlake admitted to sleeping with ex-girlfriend Britney Spears, in so many words. During one of the sketches, the 28-year old singer poked fun at himself by playing a fictitious ancestor of his, immigrant Cornelius Timberlake, and predicting the future. He said “I’d like to think that at first, he’ll date a popular female singer (Britney Spears). Publicly, they’ll claim to be virgins. But privately, he hit it.” That’s as good as a confession as we’re ever going to get. It may not be anything new but he was still pretty funny in the clip.

Lily Allen has been known to be one to trash talk fellow celebrities. You would think that she will be saying some bad stuff about Britney Spears but on a recent BBC Radio interview, Lily actually said some nice things about the recovered singer. When asked about Britney’s performance on X-Factor, Lily said “I love Britney Spears, I don’t care if she mimed or not, we all know she’s a mimer, and that’s a hard song to sing live. I loved her outfit, she looked really good.” Lily also talked about the fiasco at Heaven club and said that she could understand why Britney chose not to perform saying that the club was really hot and there were a lot of people fainting all over the place.
