Hollywood actor Chace Crawford is in training for the remake of movie Footloose at the same time as recording episodes for Gossip Girl.

Crawford, 24, will play the lead role of Ren McCormack in the remake of the movie, which is being directed by High School Musical director Kenny Ortega.

However, Crawford is also recording episodes for hit series Gossip Girl at the same time.

Ortega told the BBC: “He’s doing dance training and physical training. We have a great teacher working with him – he wanted it, he loves it.”

The movie won’t start filming until March next year but Crawford has been preparing for the role for months already.

Ortega added: “We just did a big scene from the movie, just as a little sizzle, a little test – a place for us to stretch together. He was dancing in it and he’s going to be great.”

Kissing Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford is “everything you could imagine and more”, according to co-star Joanna Garcia.

Joanna, 30, will play Chace’s character Nate’s love interest for four episodes of the next season, which premieres on September 14 on the CW.

Talking about kissing Chace, she said: “It’s everything you could imagine and more.” She added that Chace is even more gorgeous “when you get to known him”.

Joanna added: “He’s such a nice guy and a total dude. He’s ready to have a cocktail and kick back and watch sports.

“And as beautiful as he is on the outside, he’s ten times more beautiful on the inside.”

Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford has revealed that he doesn’t date co-stars.

The sexy actor, who plays Nate Archibald in the TV series, said the reason is because he prefers to keep his personal and professional lives separate.

The 24-year-old actor said: “Gossip Girl’ creator Josh Schwartz told me to avoid at all costs dating a co-star. We get to shoot in New York and have that as our playground and do the insane things that we get to be a part of.

“There’s a part of me that wants to share that. But I’m having fun living the bachelor life right now. It’s a good time to be single.”

Meanwhile, his fellow Gossip Girl co-stars Blake Lively and Penn Badgley, who play characters Serena and Dan in the series, are said to be in a relationship.

Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford has denied rumours of rivalry between him and Zac Efron.

Crawford, 23, is set to feature in a remake of 1984 muscial Footloose after the High School Musical star turned down the lead role.

He said: “We’re loose acquaintances, we’re good friends and everything’s cool. He’s got to make the decisions that are best for him.”

Crawford told GMTV the movie is going to be a little different to the original, which starred Kevin Bacon.

He said: “It’s a great modern adaptation. Pop culture has changed so much since the 80s. I’m not going to have the Kevin Bacon hair and tight jeans!”

Former boy band member JC Chasez has gone on the record to refute the rumors that he’s gay and that he and ‘Gossip Girl’ star Chace Crawford are dating. The musician told Kiss FM 104.7 that “For the record, we’re both straight. We’re not dating. Let’s clear that up real quickly and the thing is, we don’t even get to hang out that much. And then, at 3 in the morning, Chace and JC were seen still partying it up at Mokai. This is not helping those gay rumors circling JC. We all know that Chace is dating Carrie Underwood so we can cross that off his list.
