The singer recently made even more unveilings as to the nature of her relationship with her father and why they became more and more distanced from each other. Rihanna related the following about how her father reacted after the incident with Chris Brown:
“He kind of did something that was really upsetting. He turned his back on me and went to the media. He got paid to talk about stuff – all these little interviews he was doing after the whole situation in February. I hadn’t spoken to him and he was speaking as though we did. It was so disappointing to me.” Well, well… isn’t this an interesting new story for Rihanna to tell her grandchildren. Why now? Wouldn’t it just have been better for Rihanna to leave this in the shadows… doubtfully coming clean now will solve anything. But as for making matters worse… well, now there’s a possibility!

After hearing Rihanna’s side of the story on 20/20 last week, Chris Brown just couldn’t resist talking crap about the Barbadian babe. The R&B singer sent a statement over to MTV, talking about Rihanna’s decision to air the private matter, saying “While I respect Rihanna’s right to discuss the specific events of February 8, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us. I do appreciate her support and wish her the best. I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God.” He just can’t take the heat of being the bad guy.

The judge assigned to Chris Brown’s assault hearing postponed the sentencing last week to August 27th. The Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg was expected to pass down five years of probation and around 1400 hours of labor oriented service after the R&B singer pleaded guilty of a felony assault against Rihanna. However, the judge had not received some important documentation about the proposed community service plan for Chris which is why she couldn’t fully approve a sentencing. That’s just great. It just bought him a few more weeks of freedom. We have such a great judicial system huh?

It was once rumored that Rihanna and ‘Transformers’ star Shia LaBeouf used to date. They may not have dated per se, but the actor has finally admitted that he once took the Barbadian singer out – two years after the fact! Back in 2007, Rihanna and Shia got to texting and scheduled a dinner date when the actor was still filming ‘Indiana Jones’. In the new issue of Playboy, Shia confessed “It never got beyond one date. The spark wasn’t there. We weren’t passionate about each other in that way, so we remain friends.” Imagine if Rihanna and Shia got together, she would have never had to deal with Chris Brown.

Following the incendiary rumor that the couple has reunited, now we find out that Rihanna and Chris Brown have actually split-up. A source said the following about this most enigmatic relationship: “Chris and Rihanna are on opposite coasts right now. They are taking a break.” Don’t you just love these cat and mouse games? Probably not long will pass until Rihanna and Chris Brown will be back together and then the circle shall continue. And this will carry on until the pattern breaking element which we shall randomly call “Chris Brown goes to jail”. But he probably won’t tarry there too long… and then Rihanna’s situation will change toward the unpredictable.

The manager of Chris Brown has been put at a defensive after reports linked her to the Rihanna-Chris Brown controversy. Tina Davis, through her lawyer Marshall B. Grossman, denied any romantic relationship between her and Chris Brown. Tina Davis was supposedly the woman whose text message led to the altercation and the ensuing violence between Rihanna and Chris Brown last February 8. A written statement issued by Atty. Marshall Grossman stated that “the relationship between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown is that of manager and client.” The statement further stated that the rumors are false since there has never been any other relationship or emails between the two as described by the media. It also threatened legal action against the source of the false rumors.

The violent fight between Rihanna and Chris Brown allegedly started after Rihanna got Chris Brown’s cellular phone and saw a text message allegedly from a woman who previously had a sexual relationship with Chris Brown. While official police documents did not name the source of the text message there is a possibility that the identity of the source could come out when the records are subpoenaed in case a plea deal is not reached. Chris Brown, who will be arraigned on April 6, is facing two felonies for making a criminal threat and for assault with force.

Chris Brown consulted with his lawyer at the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in Los Angeles this past Thursday. The hearing proceedings regarding his assault case lasted for only a few minutes as the arraignment was postponed until April 6. The 19-year old singer is being charged with two felonies for assault on the alleged victim Robyn F., also known as Robyn Rihanna Fenty, during an argument on the early morning hours of February 8th. I don’t know why they still bothered to mask her identity when everyone knows who the victim is. I hope Chris is found guilty and that he rots in jail.

Rihanna may now be regretting her decision to reconcile with Chris Brown. Rather, she may have been regretful already about reporting to the police and in effect making public the violent incident between her and boyfriend Chris Brown last February. This early, rumors of reconciliation between Rihanna and Chris Brown has already given rise to another set of rumors and that is the possible backlash to Rihanna in terms of forfeiting her celebrity endorsements.

While Rihanna became the pitiful and heroic face of domestic violence last month and Chris Brown the villain, her alleged reconciliation with him might just make her a not so good role model for the youth and for women in general. However, CoverGirl is not yet dumping her but it is waiting for public opinion to determine her fate. Marketing analysts however said Rihanna is still the victim here and dumping her might even cause more bad publicity for the companies than keeping her as their endorser. This was more or less bolstered by GreenLight branding agency vice president David Reeder who said the brands will not use the reconciliation issue as the sole basis for dumping Rihanna but consumer opinion. So most probably, Rihanna will still be wearing a free supply of Cover Girl’s fruity colors even just for this year.

According to the new issue of In Touch Weekly, the Los Angeles District Attorney has yet to file charges against Chris Brown even though it has been said that Rihanna is cooperating with them. A spokesperson for the DA’s office confirmed the lack of charges saying “We do not have enough evidence and there have been no charges filed on the Chris Brown case.” It doesn’t mean that the singer will be getting off easy though as the spokesperson explained that “if the state gathers up enough evidence, we will press charges with or without her testifying. It is not up to the victim.” Rihanna doesn’t even have to be at the March 5th arraignment. The only time she might face Chris again is if the case goes to trial.

Everyone may be talking about the Chris Brown and Rihanna incident, even Chris has finally spoken out, but we are yet to hear from Rihanna. People close to the Barbadian babe are talking though and they recently told the Chicago Sun-Times that she’s “royally pissed off” at the alleged woman beater’s apology. Rihanna apparently called the statement “cavalier and arrogant”. Further, the sources say that Rihanna was appalled that while Chris Brown said he was “sorry and saddened … over what transpired” he did not declare any remorse or give details about the bust up. Rihanna is still recuperating in Barbados from the various injuries she got at the hands of Chris Brown.

For every day that passes, more and more reports and speculations about what really happened between Chris Brown and Rihanna are popping up. Earlier last week, Chris’ sister spoke out and now, the alleged woman beater’s cousin is also coming to his defense. His cousin Phylicia Thompson said “Chris was not brought up…to beat on a woman. So it had to be something to provoke him for Chris to do it. He wouldn’t have done is just to be having fun….But what happens behind closed doors, nobody ever knows. He might feel down right now because his fans are looking down on him, like he’s done something wrong. Of course, yes, he’s done something wrong because he put his hands on her, but like I said, you don’t know what happened. He had to be provoked to do it. Chris would never have done it.” Provoked, pfft. Stupidity must run in the family.

Will Smith is amongst the most bankable actors in Hollywood and along with his wife Jada Pinkett they form a formidable couple whose voice reaches every corner of the industry. The couple has asked the media to show restraint in the Chris Brown & Rihanna spat controversy.

Chris has been charged with making criminal threats and a scheduled court appearance has been marked for March. Speaking on this issue and the events Will said “Jada and I reached out to both of them. If it’s help they need, then let’s get it right. This is a time where they need to be left alone and if they have things they need to work out, work it out. People should take a minute before they jump on it and judge. We don’t know nothing. If there are mistakes people make, then they should be willing to live up to the mistakes and do whatever penance they need to do. I don’t think it’s up to us, specifically the media, with such a fast hand to try to chop someone’s head off.”

Jada is a women herself and sincerely this matter should not be blown under the carpet just cos’ it would create a bad name for Hollywood stars rather the media should highlight such incidents and show that there are atrocities happening against women in broad minded Hollywood as well.

Rihanna showed off her new tattoo on her right wrist at a party sponsored by Gucci called the Tattoo Heart Collection to Benefit UNICEF at New York City’s Plaza Hotel . Her boyfriend Chris Brown apparently has a matching one, as well as matching clusters of stars on their necks. Rihanna said that she got the Maor-inspired geometric design in New Zealand and said “It’s tribal. It represents strength and love. It’s their traditional way of tattooing.

Rihanna sat down for The View in Las Vegas on Monday morning where she was again asked about what’s going on with her and Chris Brown. The Barbadian babe replied “We hang out a lot. We’re very close. He’s an amazing person but we are not dating. We’re very close friends, though. Very, very close.” When she was asked about her tattoos, Rihanna explained the new one on her left shoulder saying “They’re Roman numerals. Me and my best friend got the same thing. It’s her DOB (date of birth) and she has mine.” Apart from getting some dish on the singer, Rihanna also performed her single ‘Take a Bow’ on the show.
