Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is the celebrity most people want to kiss on Valentine’s Day, according to a new poll.

The 20-year-old actor beat off competition from Twilight star Robert Pattinson to come at the top of the list.

Pattinson, 23, came third in the poll, which was conducted by Park Christmas Savings, behind Radcliffe and Johnny Depp at number two.

Pattinson’s Twilight co-stars also made the poll with Taylor Lautner coming seventh, Kellan Lutz at number six and Jackson Rathbone in eighth place.

Actor Brad Pitt came in ninth place with Glee star Mark Salling at number 10.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has admitted that the final movie has proved the ‘hardest film’ to make.

The 20-year-old actor plays the starring role in the wizarding film series and he is currently shooting the final movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which will be released in two parts.

He said: “It is the hardest film to do, absolutely. I’m not sure anyone would disagree with me on that one.

“But as long as you equal that kind of toughness with your enthusiasm, then it sort of goes away.

“When the seventh book came out, [producer] David Heyman finished it a couple of days before I did.

“He rang me up and said: ‘How do you fancy playing Hamlet?’

“Not that I would ever say this is the same, because it’s not. I think Hamlet’s a lot harder. But yeah, it is a rollercoaster.”

Daniel Radcliffe “categorically” denied he smoked cannabis at a London party.

The Harry Potter star was reported to have allegedly smoked cannabis at a hip north London party with the publication of photographs by the city’s Daily Mirror newspaper.

A spokeswoman for Radcliffe, 20, said: “Daniel does smoke the occasional roll-up cigarette, but he was not doing anything more than this.

“We categorically deny the allegations regarding Daniel Radcliffe published in today’s Daily Mirror. We are considering our position and will be taking all necessary action in relation to such allegations.”

The Mirror, meanwhile, said: “While many were shocked by the Mirror’s photos – in which Daniel was also seen giggling as a female friend scribbled a comedy beard on to his face – hundreds leapt to the star’s defence. One warned: ‘If he loves weed let’s hope it loves him back and he doesn’t end up with drug-induced psychosis.’”

Daniel Radcliffe will not strip off for the final installment of the Harry Potter movies.

According to several excited reports on the internet, Radcliffe was set to appear nude in the penultimate film in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1.

The initial report came from a supposed interview with director David Yates for the magazine Sorrisi e Canzoni.

Yates reportedly told the magazine: “Daniel Radcliffe appears naked in one scene where Harry and Ron are fighting a magical creature, who fled to confuse and create a vision.

“In the view we see Harry and a woman embracing and kissing. It’s an intriguing scene and very sensual. ”

But now Radlcliffe’s representative has shot down the rumours, calling the story ‘complete fabrication’.

However, if Radcliffe does strip off, it won’t be the first time he has appeared naked in a role.

He shed all his clothes for his role in the play Equus on Broadway.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has landed his next role – as a real estate magnate.

The former boy wizard has splashed out a cool $5.65m on a townhouse in Manhattan’s trendy West Village neighbourhood.

The purchase is the latest in a string of high-end, Big Apple property investments for the British actor.

Radcliffe already owns a luxurious $4.9m apartment and another $4.3m home in Manhattan.

His latest purchase – on a tree-lined cobbled street – was built by a sea captain in 1847 for his three daughters.

The four-bed home has a one-bedroom apartment on the ground floor, three bathrooms, six fireplaces and a large garden.

Daniel Radcliffe is too “mature” to party these days.

The Harry Potter actor said he used to play pranks and fool around but now he’s all grown up: “I did use to play a lot of pranks in the past, but I want to be a more mature, serious actor now.

“I don’t get involved with drinking or partying with the cast any more.”

Radcliffe, 20, added: “I hate celebrity culture but I’m unavoidably part of it. There are people who happen to be celebrities as a by-product of what they do.”

The boy-wizard also slammed celebrities who push themselves on to the public.

He said: “They don’t want to work, have no interests, no passions, nothing and yet they seem to be held up on pedestals.

“I don’t think they should be trying to push themselves on to us. It does annoy me but, of course, I’m part of it.”

The star of the Harry Potter movies, Daniel Radcliffe, 20, has directing in his sights.

His favoured flick would be a serious departure from the Hogwarts sagas, too. Radcliffe says he would like to direct a gangster movie.

A movie insider said: “Daniel’s been looking at lots of scripts trying to decide what he’d like to direct. But he’s now focusing on a story about a London gangster. Daniel wants to challenge people’s pre-conceptions of him.”

Radcliffe is working on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 and is slated to work on The Journey is The Destination.

As for rumours he was in the running for a role as Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit, Radcliffe brushed them aside.

“I’d have to say, ‘Thanks but no thanks.’ Not that anyone has asked me. Honestly, I don’t think they would want me anyway, it’s just too close. Whatever I do next, I don’t think there will be any wizards in it!”

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has been receiving directing tips from the film’s producer David Barron as he reportedly wants to step behind the camera.

Daniel, 20, recently revealed his intentions to become a director following the end of shooting for the film series.

Barron is a producer on the final two-part film Deathly Hallows and he has been giving the star tips.

A source said: “Daniel has told friends he is looking for a project to direct when he finally waves goodbye to Hogwarts. He has been approached by a number of producers.

“He wants to direct something gritty and hard-hitting. David has been giving him guidance on how to reach his goal.”

The jet-setting Harry Potter hunk has admitted he would far rather date girls from across the pond.

Asked if he prefers American or British girls, the actor admitted with a nervous laugh: “I’ll say American for now.”

However, the Harry Potter star quickly tried to backpedal, saying: “Nationality is nothing. It’s all about the girl.

“But she has to be curvy!”

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has admitted he is a huge fan of TV show Britain’s Got Talent.

The 19-year-old actor, who stars in the new film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, said he shares his interest in the show with the rest of the UK’s viewing public.

He said: “My guilty secret is that I watch Britain’s Got Talent. But I guess that many millions of others do as well.”

Speaking about the contestants on the show, he said: “The best quality you can have is fearlessness. That is what you should aim for.

“You should be willing to try anything. You might fail but at least you’ve made the attempt. That’s what I aspire to.”

British actor Daniel Radcliffe knows very well that he’ll always be linked to his wand-wielding character Harry Potter – because Harry Potter has “given him everything.”

He says, “It’s a reality you have to come to terms with – rather than letting it bother you, just accept the fact that there will always be some people who will forever see you for the one part you are most famous for. It’s not that I want to distance myself from it because… they’ve given me everything… it’s just a matter of being an actor rather than a character.”

There’s nothing bad about being remembered for something as good as Harry Potter but once the euphoria gradually fades away and may be it wont. If it does then he’ll be what he is at that point in time and if does not then he’ll probably be a legend like Sean Connery or Roger Moore have been from James Bond.

Yesterday I reported that Potter star Daniel Radcliffe was being protected by former SAS guards after a threat on his life. But that’s not enough for our star.

The stalker target also wanted a two-man SAS team to walk his dogs. The Potty star is afraid beloved pets Binka and Nugget will be kidnapped and killed.

He also requested that 15 SAS men guard him. But he was instead assigned four ex-SAS officers by his management who told him: “You’re Harry Potter, not J-Lo!”

The stalker, in his 20s, has shown up at Daniel’s home and favourite diners in West London.
