More specifically discipline appertaining to her diet. The Black Eyed Peas singer recently admitted that she finds it hard maintaining her discipline when it comes to eating right. This is what Fergie had to say on the matter: ”I have a meal-delivery service; Diet Designs. They’re amazing – they’ll have butter lettuce and avocado and pink grapefruit. They do butternut-squash enchiladas, which are really good. I also get these pressed juices delivered to my house, so I get all these different and wonderful vegetables. My problem is my discipline. I see a Jack in the Box or a Del Taco, and I will impulsively want it. I’m a work in progress in that area.” Fergie might want to consider all of that butter in her vegetables as being a factor in the lack of eating discipline… after all, taste buds are not so easily controlled when aroused.
Actress Jennifer Garner is teaming up with Frigidaire to help teach parents and kids how to eat fresh. The 39-year-old star has two young daughters – Violet, five, and Seraphina, two – with her actor husband Ben Affleck. She recently kicked off Frigidaire Kids’ Cooking Academy Summer Session with chef Adam Kaye. The new summer session gives kids and parents an insight into the seasons of food and how recently-picked ingredients can be made into a meal. Garner said: “I’m a huge fan and avid supporter of my local Farmers Market. Showing kids how foods go from farm to table is an important first step in creating healthy eating habits. “The Frigidaire Summer School is a great way to educate kids and their parents about the importance of eating fresh.”

The 28-year-old supermodel, who welcomed son Flynn with husband Orlando Bloom back in January, said that she kept up her yoga training whilst pregnant, which helped her bounce back into shape in no time. Appearing in a skintight black cut-out dress at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York on Monday night, she told Access Hollywood, “Well, I practiced yoga for over 10 years and I just continued that practice throughout my whole pregnancy and then after as well. “It does keep you in shape after baby, especially when you’re breastfeeding.”

The 22-year-old, who has modelled for the likes of Chanel, Burberry and Agent Provocateur, said that she has finally learned to accept her curves after a beating herself up about them for almost a decade. She told InStyle, “The public can say, ‘It’s really cool that you’re not conforming to this anorexic ideal’, but then I still have to go and stand next to all of the other girls. “I’m not saying that I am big, but when you stand next to a beanpole, you’re going to look like a massive tree trunk. “Literally, it’s only in the past six months that I’ve come to terms with it. Before then it was hard. I used to have private meltdowns all the time.” She also revealed that she likes to wear her actor boyfriend Matt Smith’s clothes when he’s away to make her feel closer to him. “He dresses really well. I love his style,” she said.
Actress Ali Larter has said “she’ll get there” in her bid to lose her baby weight. The 35-year-old former Heroes star gave birth to son Theodore on December 20 last year and said she doesn’t feel too much pressure to drop the last few pregnancy pounds. She said to PEOPLE: “We’ll get there. I think every woman would love to drop her baby weight as quickly as possible but I gained quite a few, so it’s taking a little bit longer.” The baby is the first for the actress and her Perfect Couples star husband Hayes MacArthur. Speaking about Theodore, she said: “He just started having these fits of giggles, and it’s amazing. My child laughing is pure joy.”
Christian Bale has hit out at critics who accuse him of deliberately choosing roles that require him to lose weight. The 36-year-old actor had to shed 63 pounds (29kg) for his role as a paranoid insomniac in The Machinist, then went on to lose 30 pounds (13kg) to play a drug-addicted retired boxer Dicky Eklund in The Fighter, but insisted that the whole weight loss process is ‘horrible’. He told Empire magazine, “I’ve had no training, I’m not method or whatever, so I just do whatever feels right… “To be honest, I find it laughable that it’s considered some f**king gimmick – it’s so patronising. For God’s sake, do people not understand what a pain it is to do? “It’s as though it’s some comment about, ‘Oh, it’s easy for him, because he’s done it a bunch of times.’ It’s not easy, it’s not fun – it’s horrible.”
Reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian has revealed how she slimmed down after giving birth to her son. Kourtney is now the slimmest of the Kardashian sisters after losing 3st 2lb following the birth of her baby Mason a year ago. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star showed off her figure at the Kardashian Holiday Party, posing in pictures with her sisters Kim, 30 and Khloe, 26. She told US OK! magazine: “I love my new body. “They say it takes a full year to really get your body back and I believe that. I was 140lb when I gave birth and I’m 95 now. But for me it is about being a healthy mum and not being a certain weight.” The 31-year-old said she lost the weight by eating small meals every two hours and doing regular workouts. Kourtney also admitted her one-year-old son helped her to shed the pounds. She added: “I’d take him on walks when he was a baby and do squats while holding him.” But like most people the star did have her downfalls. She said: “I’ll eat Oreo Double Stufs, but I will have two instead of a whole box. And I love chips!”
After a four-year work out for his role in The Fighter, Mark Wahlberg celebrated with a cookie binge. The actor, who stars as champion boxer Micky Ward in the movie, had to endure a long-term diet but wasted no time in tucking into some tasty treats once it was all over. Speaking at the Cinema Society premier of the flick on Friday, he told People that he ate ‘everything’ once filming wrapped. “I just became obsessed with chocolate-chip cookies and stuff that I never really had any interest in eating [before],” the 39-year-old said. But his wife, Rhea Durham, eventually stepped in and warned him off the unhealthy snacks. “She said, ‘You might as well take care of yourself,’” he explained. “But I needed a break from it. Certainly four and a half years was very draining. I needed that time off, and now I need to get back in there.”
Mila Kunis claims she ended up looking like Gollum from the Lord Of The Rings, after dropping 20lbs for her latest movie role. The 27-year-old actress trained for five hours a day, seven days a week to prepare for her role as a ballerina in the new thriller Black Swan. And as a result, Kunis, who was already very slim before she started training, says she resembled the skeletal Lord Of The Rings character after shedding 20lbs through exercise alone. “It was insane,” the Ukraine-born actress tells Nylon magazine. “[At first] I could do nothing. By the end of training, I could get en pointe. “It was the most intense training I’ve ever had in my life, and probably will have for anything. “I lost 20lbs, so I went down to 95lbs (6st 7lbs). I weigh 117lbs (8st 3lbs) usually, like today. I looked like Gollum.” But the Date Night star admits that despite the extreme weight loss she doesn’t look emaciated on-screen. “[That's] the sad part about this industry,” she says. “You realise why people are so skinny, because on film and in all the photo-shoots I did for press, it looks amazing.”
Former Ally McBeal star Portia de Rossi fought back tears as she opened up about her battle against anorexia. The 37-year-old actress revealed on The Oprah Winfrey Show how she would eat just 300 calories a day at the height of her eating disorder, which saw her weight plummet to 82lbs. Asked by Winfrey if she felt proud when she weighed so little, she confessed: “It wasn’t that I was proud of it, but it was certainly a recognition [of] my self-control. “I definitely had some pretty amazing willpower to get down to 82lbs and that’s what I was holding onto. I didn’t think about anything else.” The Arrested Development star also told Winfrey that during her starvation period she would “prefer to die than fail another diet”. Asked how much she would eat, she said: “Three hundred calories.” De Rossi, who wed chat-show host Ellen DeGeneres in 2008 and has since taken her name, also opened up about how spent years hiding the fact that she is gay. “Hiding your sexuality is the most horrible way to live,” she said. “It really does a huge disservice to society because if everybody who is gay came out in every profession teachers, doctors if everybody came out and said, ‘I’m gay, who cares?’, it would make a big impact on what’s happening with all this teenage suicide.” De Rossi has written her autobiography, Unbearable Lightness: A Story Of Loss And Gain, which is due out on 1 November. Her interview with Winfrey airs the same day.
TV presenter Alexa Chung has hit back at allegations she is anorexic. The 26 year-old told Elle magazine: “I don’t expect everyone to like me but I cannot express how frustrating it is to not be believed when you say, ‘I don’t have an eating disorder’. I am naturally very thin. I get even thinner when I’m stressed.” The girlfriend of Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner added: “You cannot imagine how stressed I was [on MTV]. It was really f****ng hard work and I had to keep saying how great MTV was, how I was having the best time, while looking like I’m dying – anyone could see I wasn’t coping that well.” Chung had to quit social networking site Twitter because she was getting too much abuse for her size. She said: “That’s why I stopped using Twitter for a while because I was getting so much s*** about being anorexic. And I am not! I am genuinely not.”

Reality star Stephanie Pratt has been spotted leaving a restaurant looking alarmingly thin.
Pratt was seen looking very skinny as she left Katsuya restaurant in Los Angeles.
The 24 year-old has previously battled with bulimia and believed her time on The Hills triggered it. However, she quickly took back that comment and said it was her own insecurities that had brought on the eating disorder.
Pratt, who was leaving the restaurant with boyfriend Josh Hansen, claimed her problems started when she compared herself to her co-stars, especially Lauren Conrad.
The sister of Spencer Pratt said: “I was horrified, I remember saying, ‘I can’t believe how huge I look walking over to Lauren’. It’s embarrassing working with skinny girls.”
Pirates of the Caribbean star Penelope Cruz says you don’t have to be slim to be attractive.
The 36-year-old told British You magazine: “I would close down all those teenage magazines that encourage young girls to diet.
“Who says that to be pretty you have to be thin?”
She added: “Some people look better thin and some don’t, there is almost a standard being created where only thin is acceptable.
“The influence of those magazines on girls as young as 13 is horrific.”
Penelope herself admits that she is embracing her looks as she ages.
The Nine star said: “If I look around at the actresses I admire, they are all women who have not fought growing older, but embraced it – women like Sophia Loren or Audrey Hepburn… It’s a good thing to be old, because that means you haven’t died yet, right?”
She added: “The people who love me, love me for who I am.
“They love me for a mixture of things that makes anyone love another person, and those things will still be there when I am 40, 60 or 80.”
Jennifer Aniston is on a diet of baby food designed by celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson, it has been reported.
The Baby Food Cleanse diet plan, devised by Anderson, involves eating 14 portions of puréed food a day, along with one normal meal.
Aniston reportedly feels this new menu has given her a “body boost” while she is in Hawaii shooting her new movie Just Go With It, the Daily Mail reports.
“I developed a cleanse where you can still eat and it’s a lot of purée foods. I was very careful about the foods I chose to put in it,” Anderson told Hollyscoop.
“I wanted something where you can eliminate toxicity and break bad habits but still have your digestive system going.”
Anderson has counted Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow among her clients.
And if it were only time this new habit of hers was eating up. Amy Winehouse’s father, Mitch Winehouse, is once more worried that the troubled singer has replaced her drug addiction with something probably just as damaging: shoe shopping. This is what Mitch Winehouse related about Amy Winehouse’s new habit: “Amy has blown stupid amounts on shoes, she’s replaced her drug addiction with a shopping addiction. She bought 20 pairs of designer shoes in one afternoon. I returned them all to Selfridges. She’d never wear them, she has two rooms full of un-opened, unworn shoes, it’s ridiculous, such a waste.” This is probably just Amy Winehouse’s way of showing everybody how much she hates the world because Blake Fielder-Civil isn’t coming to Jamaica with her. Well, there’s only one way to deal with a stubborn child… just keep on returning them shoes there daddy.
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow said she will be “forever grateful” to personal trainer Tracy Anderson for “kicking my sagging a** into shape”.
Paltrow, 37, has been working with Anderson for some time and the trainer has leant her tips to the latest edition of the actress’ GOOP newsletter.
Paltrow said: “Many of you may already know of my passion for the Tracy Anderson Method and my investment in it. She has kicked my formerly sagging a** into shape and I will be forever grateful.
“This week, Tracy shares with us a little arm series that I did every day preparing for Iron Man and that I take on the road.”
Supermodel Bar Refaeli doesn’t diet, she has revealed.
The ex-girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio said she maintained her figure by looking after herself.
She said: “I don’t diet and I don’t have an eating plan, but I like to eat healthily.
“I don’t deny myself anything and there’s nothing I wouldn’t eat. I like desserts – I like food full-stop but I exercise and I’m young, so everything keeps in check.”
She added to Hello magazine: “I guess every girl has days where she feels good and days where she feels she could lose a couple of pounds and it’s the same for me.
“I’m generally in pretty good shape, but if I have a major shoot or fashion show coming up and I want to look my best, then I’ll spend a little extra time working out or I will stick to eating salads and chicken for a few days.
“I would never go on some crazy fad diet or eat anything weird to get thinner – it’s just not good for your body.”
Antwone Fisher star Joy Bryant is reportedly a fan of Kundalini yoga and says it is a “great” workout for the mind and body.
Bryant, 31, is a strict vegetarian and she reportedly said that she does the yoga for the meditation and the physical benefits.
The actress was awarded a full academic scholarship to the prestigious Yale University and has recently joined the cast of the NBC show Parenthood.
Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has invited other Hollywood stars to explore Kundalini and other forms of yoga. He referred to it as a “living fossil”, which is both a mental and physical discipline.
