Hollywood star Mel Gibson is being investigated by police over domestic abuse allegations.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s office launched the investigation following the leaking of a tape in recent days, purportedly featuring Gibson yelling at then-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.

On the tape, obtained by RadarOnline.com, Gibson is reportedly heard having a racist rant, allegedly yelled at the Russian singer and calling her a “whore”, a “c***” and a “b****”.

“You’re an embarrassment to me,” he reportedly tells her at one point during the row. “You look like a f***ing pig in heat and if you get raped by a pack of n****rs, it will be your fault.”

Oksana – the 40-year-old mother of Gibson’s baby daughter Lucia – secretly taped his outbursts.

RadarOnline also claimed it has listened to a tape recording made after a January 6 altercation in which Grigorieva can be heard saying: “What kind of a man is it who would hit a woman when she is holding a child in her hands, hitting her twice in the face? What kind of a man is that?”

A person, supposedly Gibson, then says: “You know what? You f***ing deserved it.”

A statement released by the Sheriff’s department reads: “An investigation of domestic violence was launched by [Los Angeles Sheriff's] Malibu/Lost Hills station detectives… involving actor Mel Gibson and his former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.

“The detective in charge of the investigation is currently gathering information regarding the allegations. Due to the investigation being preliminary in nature, no other information is available at this time.”

The statement refers to an incident between the couple occurring on January 6, 2010 – the same day the explosive tape was reportedly made.

Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren are not speaking to one another, according to reports.

According to new claims, the couple no longer communicate and use assistants and nannies as a means of co-ordinating their schedules and time with their two children.

The former Swedish swimsuit model has reportedly moved out of the home she once shared with the sportsman and is living in a rented property.

“Elin has the nannies take the children back and forth,” RadarOnline quotes a source as saying.

“They just don’t speak anymore.

“Even during the rare times when they see each other in person.”

There is speculation that both husband and wife have independently consulted divorce lawyers.

Halle Berry ended her relationship with Gabriel Aubry months ago despite only going public with news of the split last week.

“She kicked him out months ago,” People quotes a source close to the former couple as saying.

Explaining what was behind Berry’s supposed decision to break-up with the model, the source said: “He wasn’t able to pull his weight in the relationship and she wanted to move on.”

Berry and Aubry share a 2-year-old daughter, Nahla.

“Her main concern is for the health and happiness of her daughter,” the source added.

“They’re very amicable in healthy ways because of their child.”

A spokesperson for the Oscar-winning actress confirmed to People that Berry and Aubry “have been split for some time, but remain friends and committed parents to their daughter”.

Love rat Tiger Woods has reportedly met with a divorce lawyer after admitting to himself that his marriage is over.

The golf ace, who cheated on wife Elin Nordegren with dozens of women, has talked to Florida lawyer Jeff Fisher, the New York Daily News reports:

Fisher was unavailable for comment on the report, which comes as Nordegren is staying in Sweden with the couple’s two young children.

She is said to want to return there permanently, but Woods is worried he won’t see his kids if she does.

“She’s returning from Sweden within two weeks and that’s when events with Tiger will come to a showdown,” a source said.

Other sources insist Nordegren, 30, is definitely divorcing Woods, 34. “It’s 100% happening,” an insider told Us Weekly magazine. “Elin and her mum met with a lawyer before they went to Sweden. It’s going to take a long time to go through. [But] she will go through with it. She is all about being a mom. She will do it slowly and carefully.”

Sandra Bullock is not seeking custody of Jesse James’s children, according to her rep.

RadarOnline is reporting that The Blind Side star does not want to get involved in a legal battle with her husband for his three children.

“She has absolutely no plans to get custody of Jesse James’s children,” said her rep, Cheryl Maisel.

It has been reported that Bullock was looking after Jesse James Jr, Chandler and Sunny while James was being treated for sex addiction at a rehab centre in Arizona.

But recent photos showed the tattooed biker has returned to his Huntington Beach home to be with his children.

Back in November 2009, Bullock was battling with James’s ex-wife Janine Lindemulder for custody of their 6-year-old daughter, Sunny.

Porn star Lindemulder was jailed for tax evasion and Bullock helped raise Sunny.

“I am aware that Janine has claimed many times that my desire to have the girl was because I could not have children of my own,” Bullock wrote in a letter to a judge at Lindemulder’s court hearing.

“That couldn’t be farther from the truth.

“I myself have stopped working like I used to in order to be here with Jesse and the kids because we are on constant high alert never knowing what condition Janine will be in, and even more concerning, the condition the girl will be in.

“I know the term ’stepmother’ carries many connotations, one of them being ‘glorified babysitter’.

“My commitment and responsibility to the girl goes beyond that.”

Doctor Who star Matt Smith is reportedly fighting off attention from his ex-girlfriend, as well as British model Daisy Lowe.

Smith, 27, was recently spotted canoodling with the 21-year-old model at the Coachella Festival in California.

He has reportedly told his ex-girlfriend Mayana Moura that he would take a trip to see her in Brazil after partying at the festival.

However, he has reportedly since cancelled the visit after enjoying his time with Lowe so much.

Moura was reportedly devastated when she and the Doctor Who star split last year because of the pressure the long distance and work commitments had on their relationship.

It is claimed she wrote a track called Good Enough with her band Glass And Glue in a bid to win him back.

Some of the lyrics include: “We have already waited far too long, it doesn’t matter if it’s right or wrong. There’s always a chance to start all over again, there’s always a chance to change.”

Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester is back on the market.

According to a new report the actress is single again after splitting from boyfriend Sebastian Stan.

The 24-year-old actress and Stan, 26, had been dating since 2008 after meeting on the set of the hit show.

A source told US Weekly magazine: “”They are still friends. It was amicable. They still talk all the time.”

The couple not only met but also got to make out on the set of Gossip Girl, where Stan occasionally guest-stars as Carter Baizen.

For Valentine’s Day 2009, they enjoyed a couples’ retreat in Jamaica with fellow Gossip Girl pair Jessica Szhor and Ed Westwick.

Last October, Meester gushed to Buzznet about a romantic gift – a painting – from Stan, whom she called her ‘best friend and boyfriend’.

She added: “He told the artist about me, my favourite colors and poetry and she painted a large very special abstract work I have hanging in my dining room.”

The 29-year-old is rumoured to have split with NFL star boyfriend Reggie Bush but wasn’t in the mood to talk about her relationship status at the one-year anniversary of Shoedazzle.com.

She was asked by E! if she thought about cancelling the appearance and she said: “No, why? This is our one-year anniversary. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

Kardashian was also asked about her nephew Mason but finally flipped when she was asked about Reggie.

She said: “I’m not answering that. No, I’m not gonna answer any other personal questions. No more Mason, no more anything.”

She was later heard talking to her publicist and saying: “We should’ve stopped it at the Mason questions. Can you make sure there’s no more Mason questions?”

Britney Spears’ little sister Jamie Lynn has become a single mother at 18, after reportedly breaking up with her fiancé Casey Aldridge.

The teenager who is mum to their 18-month-old daughter Maddie has been spotted without the diamond engagement ring that Aldridge gave her in March 2008.

According to reports in the US, the on-off couple have now called time on their tumultuous relationship for good.

The Nickelodeon star, who lives in Liberty, Mississippi, caused controversy when she became pregnant by college student Aldridge when she was just 16.

But with the support of her mother Lynne, father Jamie and her superstar sister Britney, it seems she is now determined to go it alone.

She and Aldridge previously called off their engagement in March last year, but Jamie Lynn continued wearing her ring until recently, fuelling rumours that their union may not be totally over.

The wife of Charlie Sheen, Brooke Mueller, has been discharged from hospital.

But her condition remains serious enough to prevent her from flying, said her lawyer Yale Galanter.

The couple have been under a protective order since an alleged domestic violence outbreak last year while on vacation in Colorado. A judge lifted the order to allow Sheen to visit Mueller in a Los Angeles ICU. But with Mueller’s discharge, the order has gone back into effect, Galanter confirmed.

Mueller was admitted to the hospital with double pneumonia following oral surgery for impacted wisdom teeth. Galanter said she still has fluid in her lungs from the infection. Her concerned doctors were yesterday reported warning her to reduce stress in order to speed a slow recovery from the illness.

A court hearing into the matter in Aspen was set for February 8.

Hollywood television starlet Lindsay Price has split with actor Josh Radnor.

The couple dated for several months but met much earlier, in 2007, according to sources.

Radnor, 35, has appeared on How I Met Your Mother and Family Guy. Price, 32, has appeared on Beverly Hills, 90210, Lipstick Jungle and Eastwick.

She started her career singing the Toys R Us jingle in commercials and was once married to writer and producer Shawn Piller. They wed in a 2004 ceremony that took place at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, California.
