Hollywood star Brad Pitt has admitted he is ‘scared to death’ of anything happening to his children. Actor Pitt says his life has changed since he started a family with long-time partner Angelina Jolie and he is always worrying about his loved ones. Brad, whose brood consists of adopted kids Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, and biological children Shiloh, four, and twins Vivienne and Knox, two, said: “It’s changed everything. I’m scared of death, sure, aren’t we all? “Who’s not? I mean, I don’t want to go just yet but it is a reality we all live with. And it’s something I’m more concerned with being a father and I’m more concerned with being safe and that they’re safe. “In fact, it’s my only fear – where I used to be more concerned with myself, now I don’t give a s***. I just want to make sure everyone’s OK.” The 47-year-old went on to add that spending time with his family in different places around the world has made Angelina, 35, an expert at packing suitcases. He said: “We’re quite comfortable living out of suitcases, we’re quite nomadic. “We’ve got it down and the kids have got their backpack. They have to carry their backpack and if they forget it, they forget it – because there’s just too much to keep track of.” Brad added to British newspaper The Sun: “Mum’s really good at the packing. She’s militant, she’s really, really talented. I couldn’t do it. “We have a base camp in LA and we’re trying to establish a base camp here in France which can be a hub for going to other places in the world.”
Actress Liv Tyler has joined forces with her grandmother to write a book on modern manners, according to reports. Rodale Books has reportedly acquired world rights to Modern Manners, which the 33-year-old Ledge star has co-written with her gran Dorothea Johnson. Johnson is an expert on etiquette and founder of the Protocol School of Washington. The book is described as a “lively and approachable guide” to show that “good manners enable us to communicate more effectively in today’s digital world”.
It’s good to see that old habits don’t really change. It seems that now that Pete Wentz’s son is two years old, the singer is keen on taking him and his wife, Ashley Simpson, to tour with his new band, Black Cards. This is what Pete Wentz said on the matter: “The great thing right now is that my family is very mobile and are able to tour with me. And I think that’s the only thing that would’ve been a hurdle. But the fact they’re kind of able to go, I want to be back out there. And it’s really cool to be able to see the world and to do it on a record company’s dime, so I’d like to kind of do that and I’d like to show my son the world as well.” Perhaps Pete Wentz has forgotten the music festivals he used to attend with his son a while back. Still, if it’s showing him the world he wants, he might consider waiting a bit longer because being two years old, he might not remember too much.
Actress Helena Bonham Carter has admitted she likes the bizarre rumours that surround her family life with director Tim Burton because it puts a “protective shell” around their privacy. Bonham Carter and her 52-year-old long-term partner live in separate houses next door to each other in London, which has led to people thinking they live in an “Alice in Wonderland” style world. But she insists that the couple don’t mind these rumours circulating because it keeps an air of mystery hanging over them. The 44 year-old told British Total Film magazine: “[People] think we’re the Addams Family! But do you know what? I think all that is rather marvellous. The more myths that follow you, it’s a more protective shell around you. “You’ve got to keep the truth private – so the more c**p they write and the more sensational it is, the further it is from the truth. It’s a sort of shell of bull***t.”
As previously reported, Mika’s sister Paloma suffered serious injuries after surviving a 50-foot fall. The British pop singer took to his blog to update fans on her condition and to thank everyone for their support. Mika wrote “On behalf of my whole family, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and kindness over the past week. Paloma is in a stable condition at the Royal London Hospital. She has undergone extensive surgery to her legs and surgery to her abdomen. Although she is in a lot of pain, things are looking remarkably good considering what happened. Over the coming weeks Paloma will undergo more surgery and start her rehabilitation programme. Her recovery will be a long and difficult one but at this point in time there is no reason to believe that it won’t be a successful one.” I pray that Paloma make a steady recovery.
Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg said he’s not longer a ‘bad-ass’ and is now just a dad. Wahlberg, 39, who is starring in new movie The Other Guys, has been in trouble with the law in the past and he admitted people wrongly believe he is still a tough guy now. Speaking to Britain’s Empire magazine, he said: “Yeah, even today doing these photoshoots I was doing earlier. They want me to pull all these silly faces, but that’s just not me. “I can’t do that. It’s not that I think I’m too cool. Then the guy was like: ‘Okay, no problem. We can do the bad-ass look, then.’ And I’m like: ‘Well, I’m not really a bad-ass either!’ “You know, I’m a dad. I grew up in an edgy environment and had to navigate through a pretty tough world, so I was required to appear a bad-ass, but I’m past all that now.” The actor is married to model Rhea Durham and they have four children – Ella, seven, Michael, four, Brendan, two, and Grace, eight months.
US actress Keri Russell said it’s ‘hard’ being a working mum and having to leave her little boy. Russell, 34, and husband Shane Deary have a three-year-old son River together and she is making her return to TV starring opposite Will Arnett in new comedy Running Wilde. She said to Parade.com: “Any time you’re working and have kids, I think it’s hard. My little guy’s first week of preschool was last week, and of course I want to be there for that. “I never imagined that I wouldn’t be walking him to school. Luckily, I didn’t have to go into work that day until the afternoon, so I got to drop him off at least and then my husband picked him up. “But of course it’s hard. But it’s hard for my lawyer friends and advertising friends, too. You just have to make time. During the weekends, I try to do less friends stuff and try to be there to make dinner and be there for breakfast time. “And he does come visit me on set, and the great thing about this show is that Will and Amy [Poehler] have two little guys, too. So we’ve gotten them together already to play.”
Beverly Hills 90210 star Jennie Garth has reportedly revealed that she is happy to be a stay-at-home mum and take a back seat to her husband’s career.
Garth, 38, who plays Kelly Taylor in the popular US series, is married to Twilight star Peter Facinelli and they have three daughters together.
In a recent interview with Time Out New York Kids, the What I Like About You actress said that she is happy to let her husband focus on his career while she looks after their children.
She said: “Right now, I love taking a back seat to him and being a supportive wife. I’ve been so fortunate in my career. I’ve directed, acted and produced.
“At this point, I’m completely happy to be a mother and wife and if I work, that’s fine, but he’s more than capable of taking care of us. There’s no competition or jealousy.”
She added: “I’m happy doing what I’m doing. It’s so much more rewarding to be a mum than any acting I’ve done.”
Angelina Jolie has been spotted spending time with partner Brad Pitt’s mother in Venice, dispelling rumours of a rift.
Jane Pitt was seen on the balcony of Pitt’s and Jolie’s luxury apartment holding grandson Knox, while the actress held daughter Vivienne in her arms.
There had been suggestions that Jane was angry with her son following his split from wife Jennifer Anniston, and that his family did not get on with Jolie.
The Jolie-Pitt clan are in staying in the Italian city while Jolie films The Tourist with Johnny Depp.
Elin Nordegren’s father flew in from Sweden to spend time with her and his grandchildren in Orlando.
Thomas Nordegren, a noted journalist, was seen with his grand-daughter, Sam, sleeping in his arms in photos that surfaced. Elin did not accompany Tiger Woods to the Masters Golf Tournament 2010 in Augusta, Georgia this week.
Radar Online reports Thomas spent Tuesday afternoon with Sam who he escorted to Gatorland alligator park.
Thomas is likely to provide Elin with stability and support while the couple works at patching the broken pieces of their marriage back together in the wake of Woods’ shock infidelities.
And if it were only time this new habit of hers was eating up. Amy Winehouse’s father, Mitch Winehouse, is once more worried that the troubled singer has replaced her drug addiction with something probably just as damaging: shoe shopping. This is what Mitch Winehouse related about Amy Winehouse’s new habit: “Amy has blown stupid amounts on shoes, she’s replaced her drug addiction with a shopping addiction. She bought 20 pairs of designer shoes in one afternoon. I returned them all to Selfridges. She’d never wear them, she has two rooms full of un-opened, unworn shoes, it’s ridiculous, such a waste.” This is probably just Amy Winehouse’s way of showing everybody how much she hates the world because Blake Fielder-Civil isn’t coming to Jamaica with her. Well, there’s only one way to deal with a stubborn child… just keep on returning them shoes there daddy.
Spiderman star Tobey Maguire says it is ‘challenging’ to juggle a film career and time with his family.
Maguire, 36, became a dad for the second time last year when his wife Jennifer Meyer gave birth to their son Otis. The couple also have a three-year-old daughter Ruby.
Talking about new flick Brothers, he told The Boston Globe: “You’re working on the movie 12 to 14 hours a day, and then going home and preparing for the next day, memorising lines, reflecting on what you did, and thinking about what you have to do the next day.
“It wasn’t easy. Put it this way, my wife told me I wasn’t much fun to be around for those few months.”
Maguire added that the intensity of filming can sometimes be tough when you have a young family.
He said: “It’s always challenging. It does create tension [in the relationship]. But my wife, she understands, and we both do the best we can to get through those experiences.”
The singer recently made even more unveilings as to the nature of her relationship with her father and why they became more and more distanced from each other. Rihanna related the following about how her father reacted after the incident with Chris Brown:
“He kind of did something that was really upsetting. He turned his back on me and went to the media. He got paid to talk about stuff – all these little interviews he was doing after the whole situation in February. I hadn’t spoken to him and he was speaking as though we did. It was so disappointing to me.” Well, well… isn’t this an interesting new story for Rihanna to tell her grandchildren. Why now? Wouldn’t it just have been better for Rihanna to leave this in the shadows… doubtfully coming clean now will solve anything. But as for making matters worse… well, now there’s a possibility!
Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine will remain the temporary administrator of his estate until next week, a judge has ruled.
Katherine’s lawyers got an order giving her temporary control of the estate earlier this week, based on her belief that Jackson left no will.
But they had to return to court in Los Angeles on Wednesday, after the singer’s will was filed.
The named executors of the will – lawyer John Branca and music executive John McClain – have said they want to make sure they have control over the assets and asked a judge to nullify Katherine’s power to move the late superstar’s assets around, even on a temporary basis.
But the judge has decided not to make any change to the original order before a hearing on Monday.
There is not believed to be any conflict between Katherine and the new executors.

Christina Aguilera got an unusual Mother’s Day gift this year. Her husband Jordan Bratman apparently gave the powerhouse singer a Stephen Webster locket containing a drop of blood to celebrate her first Mother’s Day with their son Max. The locket is said to be one of her favorite accessories. It consists of a ruby hear with a diamond sword going through it, and a small drop of blood. The inside opens up to a photo of Max. In an interview with InStyle, the singer doesn’t reveal whose blood it is but does say “I love the symbolism of the blood droplet. It’s like Max pierced my heart.
It’s been barely a month or two since Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds got married but they are all set to start expanding their family and the two are looking for the best time for Scarlett to conceive.
The rumor mill on this is so strong that sign indicate that such a process might start by the end of November end. The couple is madly in love and they would not want to lose time on sharing all that there is to do together.
Scarlett is very keen on being a young mom and isn’t of the thought the having kids is something which can be done later in life and then have to start worrying about her biological clock ticking.
There is another grape wine that says the couple is also thinking on the lines of adopting a child. Well personally I think she would love to give birth to her first child.
Spears’ 2-year old son, Jayden, had his first hospitalization this week-end, apparently due to a nasty allergic reaction. Sources close to Britney Spears state that the child is doing fine now. Apparently, he got sick while participating on a visit to Britney’s family and was rushed to the hospital. Now, one must ask, what in the world could the poor child have had such a nasty allergic reaction to… might have been all the loving atmosphere around him. Also, Britney Spears and her mother spent Sunday night with him at the hospital, but that couldn’t have helped much, either.
Ashlee Simpson Wentz and rocker husband Pete Wentz are expecting a baby later this fall. That’s not going to be the only addition to their home though as they are expecting Ashlee’s mom Tina too. According to Life & Style, Tina Simpson will be moving into the couple’s household. A family friend told the mag “Her mom, Tina, is going to move in with them for a few days, maybe even a few weeks, to help out after Ash gives birth.” When asked just how Pete felt about it, the source said “He’s totally cool with it. They get along really well. He’ll probably have his own family in and out, so it’s all good.”
Looks like nobody believed her sorry excuse that it was all a misunderstanding.
Hayden Panettiere’s father is now facing misdemeanor battery chargers after getting in a drunken fight with his wife in August.
She claims it was “misunderstanding.” Just like the second season of Heroes! T
The Associated Press reports:
Alan Panettiere faces up to a year in a Los Angeles County jail if convicted. He was arrested on Aug. 11 on suspicion of striking his wife, Lesley.
At the time, a sheriff’s spokesman said Panettiere was accused of hitting his wife three times with an open hand.
No matter who you are, no matter where you’re from (this sounds like a backstreet boys song I know), you CAN NEVER EVER HIT A WOMAN.
I’m just sayin’
