Ashlee Simpson-Wentz was set to premiere a new collection of tops designed by her to be sold exclusively at Wet Seal. The launch date was April 22 and after just a bit over a month later, her so-called designs are doing so poorly that they’re practically giving it away for free. The line started out with a dozen different shirts originally marked at $19.50. Now, they’re being sold on Wet Seal’s website for just $4.99. Poor Ashlee, her shirts cost less than a latte. Much like her music and acting career, her clothing line may not have gone so well but at least she still has her new husband and baby on the way to fall back on. Let’s just hope that she doesn’t decide to make baby clothes now.

Christina Aguilera, in cooperation with P&G Prestige Products, is set to debut a new fragrance called ‘Inspire’ on September 1. The 27-year old powerhouse singer has set aside her music career to focus more on being a new mother and on her other ventures. According to WWD, “Inspire is a fragrance for women, which opens with fruity notes of mango, citrus and freesia, with accentuated tuberose, accompanied by white rose and gardenia in the heart. Accords of orange blossom from Valencia, sandalwood and musk are added on top of the white bouquet… Aguilera announces that the most highlighted note is seductive tuberose, with freesia and musk, and it seems to her that these notes remind of tones in perfumes for men.”

Pete Wentz loves wearing Jessica Simpson’s shoes.

The Fall Out Boy rocker - who is dating Jessica’s younger sister Ashlee - thinks the ‘Irresistible’ singer’s US women’s footwear range is fantastic, and enjoys dancing in the heels in private.

He said: “I love Jessica Simpson’s stuff, especially the shoes. I dance around my house in them all the time.” Pete, 28, also said he wishes men’s fashion took more risks, and is envious of the clothing available to women. He added: “I don’t know if I would really consider myself fashionable, but I think that fashion is kind of an awesome way to project who you are inside, and I really, really like going to fashion shows, and I really like women’s fashion. I wish men’s fashion had more risk-taking going on.”

Pete has been dating 23-year-old Ashlee since late 2006, and recently gave the ‘Autobiography’ singer a promise ring. Speaking about the diamond band, which she wears on her ring finger, Ashlee said: “This is a promise ring. It just means that he hasn’t asked my dad if he can marry me yet!”

She may be super skinny, but Nicky Hilton says she is not anorexic. She has obviously lost a great deal of weight in the last four months and was looking extremely thin during L.A. Fashion week.

An insider says, “Nikki definitely looked thinner than last year - even last season’s - show. She wore a paper-thin printed dress that hung loose off of her frail frame.”

More advertisements for Marc Jacobs’ Spring 08 campaign featuring Victoria Beckham have been released. Posh is either working it from inside a shopping bag or stepping out of a gift box.

The Spice Girl spoke about the ads recently saying “The images are humorous and ironic. You can’t be afraid to experiment with fashion.” When asked which was her favorite ad, she said “Truth be told, I love them all. If I have to pick favorites, it’s the package series: me coming out of the box in the gray knit dress shot with the hat, as well as the image of the oversize shopping bag.” So basically, the whole campaign.

Amy Winehouse’s trademark beehive hairstyle has had the chop – things are looking brighter for Amy as she reveals her remaining locks dyed peroxide blonde.

The Rehab singer unveiled her new look as she talked about her ‘drunk’ personality; admitting, “I’m a terrible drunk. Drinking long-term is a lot worse than doing heroin. Alcohol’s a real poison. I’m not a nice drunk. If I go to the gym and I have a drink, I’m lovely to be around. But if I haven’t been training or if there’s something bothering me, I’m a terrible drunk.”

Last night pals said Amy’s new do was the work of her hairdresser Alex Foden — who lives in her block of flats in Bow, East London. A friend said: “She just said she felt like it. She’d thought about having a blonde beehive but decided on the shorter look.”

Amy’s 1960s-style beehive has been central to her image since she shot to international fame last year. A spokesman for the star said: “She wanted a new look for the New Year.”

More bad news has come to the Spice Girls. Don’t worry so bad though, no one got injured or kicked out of the group. But be worried about burglars because some clothes and jewelry were stolen from Victoria Beckham’s dressing room at their concert stop in Germany. She was the only Spice Girls targeted and Posh is reportedly gutted about it.

For a few years the ‘In Thing’ for singers and actresses alike was to release their own perfume. The likes of J-Lo and Britney Spears were among stars to have their own scent on the shelves. But this year it seems it is something new.

Girls Aloud star, Nicola Roberts, is set to release her own brand of make-up; specifically designed for pale skin. The move has come after producers asked the girl group to fulfil a life-long dream.

Nicola’s life long dream was make up it seems. The 22-year old Redhead said: “Being a singer comes naturally to me so I have really appreciated this challenge. I decided to create my own make-up range for pale skin because I have pale skin myself and I know how difficult it can be to find the right sort of sexy look with the products already out there. Hopefully I can help a lot of girls out there to look their best.”

Not really what I think of when you say “life long dream” to me, but each to their own.

Madonna has upset RSPCA campaigners this week after she dyed a bunch of sheep for a recent photo shoot. Blue, pink, yellow, green; I bet if you drove past that field you would wonder what was in the water! It was all in aid of Vogue book entitled Vogue Living: Houses, Gardens and People which features over 36 celebrity homes and gardens.

RSPCA officials claim the 49-year-old singer is “irresponsible and unnecessary”, fearing it could spark copycat incidents over the country. But it’s all ok…it’s art after all. The reasons Madge and hubby Guy Ritchie claim are behind this is that they are paying homage to famous snapper Cecil Beaton.

Oh, well, that’s ok then. Never mind the poor sheep; I mean is pink even in this season?

Now that Christina has come out with her pregnancy, she’s rocking the bump for all the world to see. And what better way to rock than showing up at the nationwide launch of Rock the Vote 2008? The event was held on Tuesday at Kitson in Beverly Hills.

And just because she’s pregnant doesn’t mean she has to look frumpy. Christina wore fashionable Christian Louboutin shoes. As to why she was there, she said “It’s important for me to come out and support such a cause that has encouraged so many young people to get out there and register to vote. We all have different issues that are important to us; different things that contribute to our daily lives that we should all get out there and encourage to have an opinion on. There’s power in numbers so it’s important to get the word out as much as possible.”

When I say transformation, I do mean transformation. Photoshop and CGI, you just have to love it.

Lily Allen showed off her new sophisticated and enhanced self in The Mail on Sunday’s You magazine. And while we’re on the subject of being new, she’s also claiming that she’s matured and less combative when it comes to fellow starlets. Ironic that she also used the interview to slam the likes of Victoria Beckham.

She said of the Spice Girl “It does make me laugh to see pictures of Victoria Beckham on the front of a magazine. I think, ‘You are not promoting anything, you don’t need the money, so all it’s about is being famous.”

Whether you love her or hate her, you have to admit Mariah Carey lives La Dolce Vita. Rihanna walked the catwalk and even got sandwiched between Canadian identical-twin designers Dean and Dan Caten of Dsquared2. The show was part of the Milan ready-to-wear fashion shows on Thursday.

The singer recently told some press about her worst fashion nightmare. What is she talking about? None other that the famous wardrobe malfunction that Janet Jackson experienced. Rihanna said “That’s the worst thing! You have to go for fittings to make sure the stuff is pretty secure!”

Judging by the purple dress she’s wearing in the picture, I’d say she’s secure.

I never knew that being a good girl gone bad would also mean that she’d have good fashion gone bad. But nevertheless, people still went wild for her.

Rihanna rocked the house down at the Molson Ampitheathre in Toronto, Canada over the weekend. The Barbados-born singer wore a dominatrix-style outfit and used an umbrella to protect herself from catching the drool of her fans.

The skirt of her dress was enough of an umbrella and the multiple studded belts on her outfit was enough to steer people away. In other, much better, news, she picked up a MOBO award for Best International Artist.

She probably sees the clothes as an integral part of her body and therefore takes
Care of the designer clothes and accessories the same way she like to care of her body and skin. “I have been banned form some fashion places because I am so crapped with things” She told, and the way she said it with such ease demonstrates that she is least bothered of taking care of things that belong to others. She is so crap with the way she dresses up and keeps her hair that it could easily be understood that during her childhood she didn’t have the sense of keeping things clean and tidy. She says that she has asked them a million times if she could do a photo shoot for their cover but they have always refused. So she thinks she is the ultimate beauty of the modeling world or something and if vogue hasn’t taken her for their cover it’s not going to end the world. She is very beautiful and the hole world knows and acknowledges the same but she is simply so greedy that she thinks that everyone shall give her the best deals, the best packages and contracts and treat her like a queen. And if at all she is still disappointed at not having what she feels she should have had till now then why come down and play the color card, Naomi. That’s like the worst thing to do, I think these models know that they can play the color matter for their benefits so today the color thing is used to gain benefits no to raise their voice for a cause.

Obviously the worst dressed star on the carpet was Lil Mama. I don’t know if she was trying to look like Little Bo Peep or a space Martian but it was wrong all around. Beyonce looked like a gold statue of liberty, that dress was really unflattering for her curvaceous figure. Shanna Moakler looked like she stole her grandmother’s curtain and had a dress made. What’s with the pigeons? What has happened to the dressing sense of these girls, Beyonce is such a beautiful lady and her curvy body is the talk of many hot chat sessions but I think she just couldn’t find anything this time to match her looks, so much so for designer dresses and cosmetics. Again coming back to Lil Mama, Ugly yeah, haha. I hate criticizing but what the hell is that Lil Mama? Maybe it was a dare for a LOT of money? Instead of coming to the VMAs she should have gone to a fancy dress competition probably then she could have justified such a stupid dress.
