Dexter star Julia Stiles has said her co-star Michael C. Hall is an ‘inspiring actor’ and has made her a better actress. The pair star together in the US show Dexter and she recently gushed about him at the Golden Globes premiere. She said to Hollyscoop: “He’s terrific, all my scenes are with him. He’s just a really inspiring actor.” Stiles added: “I think he made me a better actress. He is so sweet and it was great.” Hall got the all-clear from cancer last year and Stiles said: “Yeah, he was totally healthy when we were working together, you know onward and upward.”

Gwen Stefani is the new face of L’Oreal Paris. The 41-year old rock singer joins the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce in representing the cosmetics and beauty brand. Gwen told People “I can’t believe I get to be one of the L’Oréal Paris girls. I love playing dress up, on stage or shooting videos, it’s always been one of my favorite parts of being in a band. To get to work with such a modern, talented group of people is really exciting. I’m a lucky, lucky girl.” Gwen’s first campaign will be representing Infallible Le Rouge lip color and her first commercial will air during the Golden Globes on Sunday.

Emma Stone says her nomination is ‘insane’

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

emmastone.jpg

Actress Emma Stone thinks it is ‘surreal’ that she has been nominated for a Golden Globe along with Hollywood stars such as Angelina Jolie. Stone never thought she would see her name been read along with big names such as Julianne Moore and Jolie when the Golden Globe nominations were announced yesterday. The 22-year-old told People.com: “Let’s just be honest, that’s pretty surreal. “I don’t know what I’m going to do when I see her in person. I’m going to freak out when I see anybody in person.” Emma has been nominated for her role in film Easy A, and said she felt emotional after hearing the news. She said: “It’s insane! I’m still coming to realisation that I got nominated. “I’m in the state of ‘Oh, My God!’ My mum and dad called and they were on speakerphone and said, ‘We’re proud of you,’ and that was the best. I teared up.” The star is hoping to bring her mother as her date to the ceremony.

Drew Barrymore ‘screws up’ Golden Globes speech

Monday, January 18th, 2010

Drew Barrymore left a couple of key people out of her Golden Globe acceptance speech.

The actress, whose classic Hollywood gown won her fashion editor praise, was given the Best Supporting Actress award for her work in the HBO mini-series Grey Gardens. But she forgot to thank her off-on boyfriend Justin Long.

“I screwed up so hard in my speech,” Barrymore said backstage. She did not forget to kiss him before leaping up to get her award, however.

And it was noted she also forgot to mention her Grey Gardens co-star Jessica Lange.

But in a re-enactment of her moment, Barrymore told Lange (who was not present): “I wish that I could split this award in half!”

She also said: “And I have a great date. Thank you, Justin. He’s been making me laugh all night.”

Rumer Willis Is Miss Golden Globe

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

The 65th annual Golden Globe awards are right around the corner and the Hollywood Foreign Press announced that Rumer Willis has been chosen as Miss Golden Globe. La Chat, Rumer Willis is the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis. So, she’s inherited her father’s chin. Who cares? At least she isn’t a druggie or an alcoholic or anorexic or bulimic or any other crap people bitch about on here. I think though she isn’t exactly a super celebrity or anything near to it, she is the right candidate because she has never been associated with drugs and other messed up instances like the other young celebrity children have. This stance certainly proves that if even you aren’t a maniac there are people who notice you because you have managed to keep clean and sober, which is a rarity these days. I guess it pays to live in the shadow of famous parents
