Hilary Duff launched her new perfume called ‘Wrapped with Love’ at the City Myer Store in Sydney Australia on Saturday. The actress/pop star commented on the fragrance saying “I don’t want to eat it, but it’s very yummy. It totally reminds me of summer time. It is very sweet.” Ok, that didn’t really explain anything about it, but hey, it’s her fragrance after all and she’ll describe it whichever way she wants.

Earlier that day, Hilary performed on stage at the Acer Arena as part of her 2008 ‘Dignity’ tour. When asked about her performance, she said “It was really, really great … the fans were crazy. I love that it always makes for a great show.”

Hmm, well not really. Hilary claims that she is a murderer, after leaving her pet hermit crab out in the sun when she was a child. Doesn’t really chalk up to the most wanted list though Hilary. Accidents happen.

Hilary said: “When I was young, I was given a hermit crab. Its shell was painted with spots. I left him outside to get some sun, but when I picked him up the next day, he’d jellified. It was disgusting. I’m a murderer!”

The 20-year-old star, who has four pet dogs, also revealed she is such a fan of pooches she would be happiest living in a “weird house full of dogs”.

She said: “I’m one of those crazy dog people! If I could I would live on a huge ranch with lots of dogs. I’d be so happy. People would say, ‘Whatever happened to Hilary Duff?’ And others would say, ‘Oh, she lives in the weird house with all the dogs.’”

Things seem to be getting serious for Hilary Duff and her boyfriend Mike Comrie because he just bought her a $100,000 birthday gift. You don’t just buy a 6 figure gift for anyone. The Duffster’s birthday is next week and her hockey player boyfriend surprised her with a Mercedes G-Wagon. I see she’s not so environmentally friendly, that vehicle would eat more than 100 gallons of furl everyday she goes to her nearest grocery store. It might have the latest safety features and pointless GPS and other gadgets on board but then how cares, just have a look at the international crude oil prices they are trading at over $82 a barrel. And then how do you upstage your ex’s new girlfriend? Get your boyfriend of the month to buy you the same car that Nicole Richie has on Nicole Richie’s birthday. Nice one Duff!

Hilary Duff is such a bad driver, her friends and family avoids getting into the car when she is behind the wheel. The star may be able to sing, act and dance but admits driving is not one of her greatest talents. Why is that some of these celebs can’t drive a car properly, be Lindsay, Paris and now Hilary they always bust up with their cars, I love driving my car and in the past 5 years I might have had only one small mishap in which no one got hurt just a small bump. Like what is with them that they cannot pull out a simple car out of the garage, the car is not a supersonic jet that needs high skills to even take it of the ground. I maybe right because you know I think Ms.Duff is bonker’s. She needs to take up a month long course at a driving school who will teach her the basic rules of left and right and where the steering wheel is.

The key to selling more albums is to reach out to more fans. Enrique Iglesias did it some time ago and now, Hilary Duff followed his footsteps.

Hilary played a short set at West Hollywood gay club Popstarz over the weekend. She performed two songs from her latest album for the packed dance floor seemingly filled with Hilary fans. The club was at twice its normal capacity for a Friday night as Hilary’s fans made like sardines in a can and paid the $15 cover charge just to see Hilary shake her thing around the stage for less than 10 minutes.

Sounds like Britney.

Chris Daughtry sings “be careful what you wish for coz you just might get it all” in his hit song ‘Home’. Hilary Duff is said to be feeling that way. She’s apparently realized that not everything that glitters is gold after confessing that she’s contemplating leaving the celebrity industry on more than one occasion.

The 19-year old singer/actress is already burned out by the fast-paced lifestyle that accompanies her career. She’s told the press “I go get stressed out and I do get sad sometimes about the constant work. When I travel a lot usually I’m just so tired that I just want to go to my hotel room and sleep. After doing that for a couple of months you think, ‘Why do I do this? Where’s the reward?’”

Part of her frustration is that she can’t shake the good girl image due to her time as Lizzie McGuire and that people categorize her as mainstream when she really wants to do more than just that.
